  Same here. I'm in West Knoxville and I don't recall getting this much rain in October. It has been pouring for hours now.

I get paranoid that I'm going to drop my keys in a storm drain. Today I parked right on top of one. I held onto my keys until my knuckles turned white!   Good luck man!

That's awesome. Good for her. I really think some people are just naturals.   I took a friend shooting yesterday. It was only his 2nd time shooting a handgun and I have never seen anyone pick it up so fast. I'm not exaggerating when I say that he had a quarter size group with his new XD service model at 7 yards.    I can't shoot a group that tight if my life depended on it and I've been doing this for 5 years. It was amazing to watch and I think he's hooked now. 

Forgot to mention they had Police Trade In S&W M&P's in .40 for only $299. Most looked to be in good condition and came 1 mag.    Next weekend is the grand opening which I'm tempted to go to. 

I thought I would share my experience at Bud's today. My friend is getting married tomorrow so myself and our other friend threw him a bunch of cash to go purchase his first firearm.    We thought Buds would offer the best selection and I knew their prices would be competitive.    The store is amazing. The selection is fantastic and the prices were right where I expected them to be. My friend ended up buying a XD 9 Bi-tone for $469(maybe $479). Springfield is still giving away 3 free magazines so it was a hell of a deal. They also provided a free 30 minute range pass which we used.    The employees were very friendly and helpful. I warned my friend that gunshop employees can sometimes be full of crap but we didn't have that issue today. One clerk did try to push the Taurus but we quickly dismissed it and moved on.   The range is the nicest indoor range I have ever seen but it is overpriced. I wouldn't go back there to shoot. Their ammo prices were high but not stupid high(Bass Pro, Gander etc).   They had a crate full of Mosins for $119 I think. They had a really nice selection of 1911's and knives.   Overall it is a damn fine store and I'll definitely go back. 

I love my Glocks but Gaston seems like a royal prick.

Glock had issues with the first batch and probably should have done a recall. They then made changes to the magazine and I believe the ejector. Apparently those changes solved most of the issues.   I'm tempted to go that route but I really don't want a 3rd pistol in .380ACP. I may hold out for the single stack 9mm. It should be available by the time I'm ready to retire. 

Pmags of all colors are insanely cheap right now. This is the perfect time to start hoarding them.

I'm glad you are ok. That would be scary.   I saw the light after the restaurant I worked at was robbed at gunpoint. I was off that night but realized it could have easily been me leaving that night with a pocket full of cash. After that I started carrying a .38 in my front pocket while waiting tables.    Not long after that I left my local bank just 15 minutes before it was robbed. I was armed at the time and often wonder what would have happened.

These people make fine ammo and have great customer service. 3 weeks ago I made a decent size purchase from them. Part of the purchase is a ammo I'm giving to a friend for his wedding(among other things). Long story short, UPS lost the package or it was stolen by one of their employees. It never made it to me.    Freedom Munitions has been extremely helpful through this process. They have a new package on its way to me and she said that if the original packaged somehow makes it to me to just give them a call and  they would send me a return shipping label. 

That's pretty tasteless Mike. This was someone's loved one.

  I'm sorry but that's a bad analogy. There are turbocharged 4 cylinders that will smoke many V8 vehicles. My bud had a Lancer Evolution that would absolutely haul ass.Smoked many a V8 stangs and others.    Tests have shown that 9mm ammunition has increased so much in the last decade that they are now matching ballistic testing of bigger calibers. That is a fact.

I love how people just refuse to believe that the FBI may know what they are talking about. It's humorous to watch.

Did Magpul ever put their money where their mouth is and move? There were supposed to move this year but I've not heard a peep.

I had another person message me for that link so I'll go ahead and post it. I know they have a bad reputation but this is a really good price.    For what it's worth, a coworker ordered the deal below and had an issue processing it via paypal(the won't allow the sale of mags over 10 rounds). If they have the anti-tilt follower you should be fine. Even if they don't then you may not have any issues. I just think Magpul is the way to go because they can be found for $8-9 right now. Hell, I just posted a link that had Pmags for $6.70. That's insane. If PMags were twice the cost then I would stick with the steel/aluminum mags but they aren't.    I saw a torture test done by a few military members a while back that was pretty neat. They tested everything from the metal mags, to Lancers, to Magpul. They dropped them in mud and ran over them with Humvees.    The winner was the generation 2 Pmag. I will try to find the link but I believe some of the metal mags got bent.     Here is the Link. Had this come out to begin with I would have purchased this over the .38 version I have.   I won't be buying another one at this point but it's still cool to see Ruger do this.

Yep. I have nothing bad to say about PMags.
