What are the rules for shooting on your own property?
peejman replied to a topic in Training Discussions
If you shoot outside regularly, you'll make friends with the cops whether you want to not. -
Got My Old Homelite XL Chainsaw Running Again !
peejman replied to billt's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Yes, any 16" chain should work fine. Mine is a 16 as well, though I think it started life as a 14". I've got 5 chains for it, but I'm down to the last sharp one. The local co-op has a machine that will sharpen a chain for couple bucks. -

I've got a Homelite Super EZ from about 1980, it still runs strong. I had to replace the ignition box a couple years ago, and it's probably on its 4th bar. -
Good ole George. NSFW

Honestly, I'm happy to let folks who want to hide at home do just that. If they want to sit on the couch and fret their life away, have at it. I'm not going to take unnecessary risks, but I also know how useful worrying is. Life in 21st century America has too much stress already.

Trust, confidence, and credibility... very easy to lose, very hard to regain.

So we should line the drag strip with penguin poo?

You're really going to force me to agree with a Canadian? Really? There's a bit of an inside joke there as my employer's largest facility is in Winnipeg. They run the IT infrastructure which the rest of the corporate world generally hates. My standard reaction when something goes wrong is that its a feature, not a bug. They told us they thoroughly debugged it, so everything it does must be a feature.

Wow. That's a lot of shine.

So that's what those are called.

Agreed. There's plenty of ADHD diagnoses that are more lazy parents than hyperactive kids. In those cases the wrong party is getting whipped. As I've interacted with more ADHD kids (mostly coaching baseball), I've learned that they're much more engaged than you might initially think. I find their fidgeting very distracting when I'm trying to give instruction ( I was raised to sit still and pay attention). But if I force myself to ignore it, a lot of the time they can repeat back what I said to a much greater accuracy than the kids who appeared to be paying attention. It definitely takes some extra shepherding to keep them on task, but that doesn't necessarily correspond to lack of ability.

Most consider big knives scarier than guns. They're much messier, slower, and more painful.

My wife the naturalist also says catalpa tree.

Zeroing red dots. Is it right if it’s only right for YOU?

This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine.... -
We've seen Albannach, Clanadonia, and Clann an Drumma at the various Highland festivals over the years.... Maryville College, Gatlinburg, and Abingdon. They're all great to watch live. I don't know how they make a living doing that, but it sure looks like they have fun doing it.

The rise in popularity has little to do with fish and a lot to do with getting away from family.

I knew kids with all 3. The peanut allergy kids weren't segregated, we knew they were allergic and it wasn't much of an issue. Same with the ADHD kids, they were a little wilder than the rest of us but didn't get any elaborate accommodations. They were expected to behave just like everyone else. The kids with autism did have their own special classes, but we never thought much of it.

Heh... Mrs peej knew who they were before I started the video. I'd love to learn to play the pipes. I think that would annoy the neighbors even more than my guitar. This lock-in has produced some cool stuff. I bet next year will be a fantastic year for music

Big Bowie headed to a new home...

Interesting guard. How'd you do that? -
My understanding is a positive test is functionally forever. That's how vaccinations work. Unless you're meaning an antibody test. But I would still think a positive antibody test would mean you're now an asymptomatic carrier. I'm not 100% sure how that works, but once you've been exposed, that's a positive test. Be that C19, measles, polio, etc.

Hey Mr bad guy, can you please stop beating me to death for a moment? I need to ask this cop who's here to detain you a couple quick questions... Hey Mr Policeman, before you subdue this guy that's trying to kill me, do you have any diseases I should know about? I ask because I'm bleeding everywhere and will need some care right after you dispatch this guy, and I don't want to catch anything that might make me sick. Do I think there are medical people whove tested positive still working? Absolutely. Does a positive test mean you're blackballed from that job for life?

What's good for the goose is good for the gander... release the names and addresses of all medical personnel who've been diagnosed with an infectious disease. I'd want to know if the person treating me was potentially contagious.
