I'm alive.

Hey all! Been quite some time since I've dropped by TGO. I hope everyone is doing well! I've been busy over the past year or two. I ended up getting married and my wife and I are getting ready to welcome our baby boy into the world any day now (due date December 12th). On the firearm side of things, my collection is pretty thin. I do EDC is a Springfield XDS 45 these days, although I'm thinking about switching to one of the (many) compact 9mm options. In any case, before things get any crazier for me I wanted to drop by TGO to say Hello and wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Jeff
2. I've got the front and rear on my 300blk build. No issues with the sights at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
3. Well, I have to add to my previous list apparently. I got a second shipment from my Secret Santa today. What an unexpected surprise! Thanks.. Again!
4. Got my gift today! Thanks Secret Santa! Can't say I've never used this stuff before but I'm excited to give it a try.
5. I had to do the same thing. I'm traveling a lot for work so it made things simpler and my giftee should have received his gift on Black Friday according to UPS.
6. Speaking of which... It does not seem like I've been watching this show for 5 years already. Wonder how many more seasons they can get out of this storyline?
7. This. I'd rather move a warehouse full of refrigerators than move another pool table.
8. I didn't have much luck with my stalking efforts. So I got my giftee something I'd like to have... Banking on mutual interests is a reasonably safe bet on TGO. I hope.
9. Sorry for your loss, Metalhead. Thank you for facilitating the TGO SS.
10. I'd love to participate this year. I'm in.
11. Thanks! I've got an order of those Missouri bullets in the original post on the way and I just happened to have some 4227 on hand. I'll work up a few and see how it goes.
12. Thanks Gordon! 10.5", pistol gas system. Adjustable gas block. Shooting suppressed with a YHM Phantom LT.
13. Out of curiosity, what powder are you using with these?
14. I just got an email from Missouri Bullet Company about their "new" coated bullets.  I hadn't looked at their offerings in a while so I checked it out.  Looks like they have some 245GN RNFP coated bullets that might be good for 300BLK sub rounds. Pretty sure they've had something similar in an un-coated variety for a while now, but I haven't used those either.   Anyone gave them a shot?   http://www.missouribullet.com/details.php?prodId=204&category=20&secondary=&keywords=

If I'm not mistaken VW doesn't hire tobacco smokers.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
This. My employer has an office in Colorado. Even though weed is legal there now it is still against company policy. The penalties for a positive drug test are unchanged. The only difference is there are no legal consequences. Despite multiple reminders about this fact, I've heard that CO office has lost a number of employees.
I ran across this thread using the "search" function as I'm looking into some Red Dot options. jcj...How is the PA AA Battery running for you? Are you still pleased with it? And what did you find out about battery life? Erik...How is the PA Micro working out for you? Quality? Durability? I have a little AK project I'm working on and I'm hoping one of these might fill the bill as they are certainly within the price range I'm considering.
The AA battery lasted until the first week of May before the dot went dark. Considering the price point, I was impressed.
17. Well... That didn't last long. Whoever built that site needs remedial training in web development. Sent via Tapatalk. Blame the phone for any spelling issues.
18. Definitely an April Fools joke... Although not a great one. If you read the whole article it gets a bit ridiculous in places. Sent via Tapatalk. Blame the phone for any spelling issues.

Season 4

This is the first episode in a couple of weeks that I feel had some real intense/emotional moments that connected with the audience. Very well done I think. Sent via Tapatalk. Blame the phone for any spelling issues.

23.   I have to agree. He was quite accommodating to my need to meet up to grab some supplies before the gun show this weekend since I'll be out of town. He's also given me great info on a new (to me) caliber, 300 BLK, that I haven't loaded before. Very knowledgeable and great prices all the way around..  You know, I don't even know what I paid (individually) for some of this stuff.  I just told David what I needed and he had it boxed up and ready to go when I showed up today.  Paid the total and went on my way.     I would have loved the chance to chat longer and pick his brain a little on a few points, but he was busy trying to get ready for the show at Chilhowee tomorrow and I hate being a nuisance.   He's definitely going to be my go-to source for components from now on.
24. ...and this happened. I'm now set to load some 300BLK (and some 5.56 as well)!
