i had a box of 50 of the Hps. i loaded it back full as i used one of your clips before i went to get the ammo i had. its ok, keep them. i dont own a .45 lol just keep that clip in it for defense

strickj had his 1911 there. and i shot 2 clips through it, and it is far more accurate than my Glock 33 ever thought about being. i didnt change my stance or grip one bit and hit in a nice pattern. i cant say enough, i loved the XDs. very nice handguns. i am going to have to get a bulk can of ammo though. these boxes of 50 at wallyworld are killing me at 25 bucks a pop. im gonna get some canned heat. nice cheap prices there.

we had a blast, literally. got to shoot my Glock 33, JCs beatiful shotgun and his Taurus 1911 and 2 9mm XDs and Gutterboy's .40 XD Compensated as well as a Glock 19. my right thumb is sore from reloading clip after clip, but i can say without a doubt my next gun is going to be an XD. very fine weapons and i got to sample 3 of them and was very pleased. what sucks is i had my digi cam and forgot all about it.

i have some of the disposable foam ear plugs in my ammo box, and i have 2 sets of the actual gun ear muffs. i use a silicon set that have great reduction (outdoors anyway) so i will find out about indoors sunday.

i have debated this topic with several people on other forums and i get to have a go at it here it appears. a female cop put it this way, which made very good sense. its 2am, you had to work late, your driving down a dark, poorly lit road on your way to your house. you slip up, its late, and you do a rolling stop on a stop sign, just trying to get home. next thing you know, blue lights and sirens. bam your caught. you are legal, you have all the ID cards, DL HCP, registration, gun is concealed on your person, you have insurance, blah blah you get the point. the officer walks up, you roll the window down and do the usual song and dance of why you were stopped and all that jazz. with it being so late, the police officer asks you to step out of the car into the lights of the police cruiser for better visibility for you both, and while you get out of your car, you turn to close your door and you expose your handgun as your shirt has ridden up. you FAILED to notify the officer that you were a legal HCP holder. where is this situation headed next? do you think your going to get a hug and a kiss and be on your way? by not showing the permit or mentioning you have one, you already failed right there. you are not going to have a nice day eating pavement while trying to scream your legal your permit is in your wallet while your ass is getting thrashed on the pavement at 2am. see my point? even the most innocent, and correct law abiding decision has gotten you in alot of hot water. go back 45 seconds, when the officer approached the vehicle and made verbal contact, and i have done this several times, i have my DL and HCP ready, HCP on top and i reply good evening officer, i am legally armed and my permit is on top. the next question is usually where is the weapon, sometimes they will ask you to hand it to them, or even have you exit the vehicle so they can get it off you. depends on the officer. i have had mine taken and set on the roof during the stop, and i had one tell me leave it where it is (4 oclock) and we will both be on our ways here shortly. tell them your a valid permit holder and you are carrying a sidearm for gods sake. its alot easier.

i dont recall seeing mousegunner post in this thread, so i sent him a PM on here and filled him in on the fast details. i doubt he would be able to make the lunch, and for those of you who are unaware, he is a preacher at a local church. i invited him to show up if he can make it, and even if he is unable to make Sweeny's for lunch, to feel free to show up for the target practice at the very least.

http://ratemycop.com seems that this domain name was hosted by godaddy.com and for some reason they did not like the publicity that the site was getting. there is an article up about it at http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/GoDaddy-Pulls-Plug-On-CopRating-Website-92554 and since he changed domain name providers, the site has been getting hammered with visitors. hes getting alot of free publicity and that poor server cant handle the load. i checked the site out and it looks to be pretty interesting, its just under a hell of a client load right now so i will look at it around 3am when there is not that much traffic.

i say bring all that ammo. i if strickj doesnt mind, i will dump 200 rounds thru that 9mm XD of his. so if he doesnt care, count me in for 200 rounds of that. i bet its safe to say bring all that 9mm ammo.

well Vermont is no permit, but then New Hampshire is no permit to open carry. being part of New England is what kills me. NJ NY Mass, all those states there are so gun negative, then you have New Hampshire and Vermont. see the big difference in how these neighboring states view gun rights? its amazing at the total turnaround in how they see the 2nd amendment. did that help clear my mess up? lol

i knew CA has permits, they are just uptight Nazis about issuing them. i didnt know NJ was that big of a pain. the commonwealth of Mass doesnt surprise me either now that i think about it. its funny that half of new england is so negative about guns then you have New Hampshire. what a contrast in beliefs.

our TN HCP is valid in 35 states and i think that is great. out of the other 15 states that do not recognize it are listed below: * California * Connecticut * Hawaii * Illinois * Iowa * Maine * Maryland * Massachusetts * Nebraska * New Jersey * New York * Oregon * Rhode Island * Washington * Wisconsin so remove Illinois, California and New York as it is damn near impossible to get a permit in 2 of those states and Illinois doesnt recognize ANY permit at all and that leaves 12 states that issue permits that do not honor TNs. out of the 12 remaining, that leaves: * Connecticut * Hawaii * Iowa * Maine * Maryland * Massachusetts * Nebraska * New Jersey * Oregon * Rhode Island * Washington * Wisconsin i was just wondering which of these remaining states issues non-res permits and what one would get the most coverage out of these 12 states? yes its early, im off work and bored lol.
