  1. man if it can be arranged with auto day, that would be great. i have an itching to fire an MP5 (counter strike fantasy lmao) but yeah, just post up the date as early as you can. the more notice i get to give the boss at work, the chances will be alot greater i can attend. and isnt there a Ryans on highway 58?
  2. do we have to buy ammo from there as well?
  3. sometimes the best things in life go without asking. know what i mean? =)
  4. there is a range in Whitwell that charges by the hour. the problem is catching the place open. it is off highway 27, but my god thats a drive for me. its 9 miles to PC from where i live, and thats at the foot of Sig. Mtn. and the ammo deal is just a way for them to make more money. both places suck if you ask me. i bought a holster at sportsmans and when i handed him my debit card, he looked at me and said you got cash? he had to call the card in over the phone the old school way. he doesnt like technology. i guess since Darrs closed, im stuck with walmart and the internet for my sources now.
  5. yeah hes kinda high on the ammo. we need someone to open a range that wont charge a freaking arm and a leg to go shoot. my brother lives in Virginia, and you can walk into any range there and pay 10 bucks and shoot till you cant pull your trigger anymore.
  6. you need to get that permit. its very easy to do. and welcome aboard.
  7. i give it a week lol
  8. Aetna Mountain is a VERY popular ATV/cab truck/dirt bike riding area. at any given time during the weekend there are over 100 people there on Fri or Sat riding and a good amount during the week. there is no way you could shoot there, not to mention it takes an ATV of some sort to get to the top as the only way up is known to us fellow Aetna guys as the "rough side" [ame] [/ame]
  9. i took mine at Carters Shooting. Kristi Manning is the instructor there. very nice young lady.
  10. can non members shoot at either one of those places as long as some of the shooters are members? i know Carters is outrageous as far as lane membership fees goes.
  11. crap. i think they are closed on wed too if i remember correctly. i have a screwy work schedule. mon & tues 8a to 5:30p, off wed, thurs - sat 8a to 5:30p and off sundays. maybe with the time changing here in the next couple of weeks, it might be easier to work in an afternoon shoot. if it is posted up in a week in advance or so, i could probably arrange the day off, it would just depend, fridays are just about out of the question, but hey i can try anyway.
  12. im game for anytime on sundays. is prentice cooper open on sundays?
  13. that uncle mikes is an ok holster. i have one, but the retention factor sucks. that holster will fit the G26,27,33,36.......you get my point. if your a well-endowed lady, you could always look for the bras that have holsters too. they make them. there is also a line of shirts that can be worn as an undershirt, and they have a place for a firearm too.
  14. http://www.appeal-democrat.com/articles/parks_60808___article.html/guns_people.html very good story. it is nice to see the media on our side for once, even if it is just the views of one person.
  15. FYI Darr's Shooting Supply in Red Bank closed. anyone know why?
  16. no, ammo has to be separated from the sidearm.
  17. how fast people forget March 1993. that was snow. period.
  18. id lock the slide open on the weapon, and put a cable lock thru the eject port and thru the magwell and lock it. i would then place the weapon in the case and secure it in the seat beside me. i would then place any magazines and ammo in the trunk (or in the ammo box in the bed) with a bike lock to one of the corners in the rear most section of the truck. you do that and you should be ok even if you had a rookie ass stop you.
  19. guns are like cars. and everyone has an opinion on what model and make they like to drive/shoot. i carry one daily, and yes they have a few minor design flaws, but then again so do cars. if you have one and dont like it, trade it in for another model. if you have one and you love it, then by god, bling it up for all to see.
  20. rule number one about Glocks...........NEVER alter the trigger design. what if you got into a panic situation and couldnt get that little insert out? when would you do then? throw the gun at them? bad idea if you ask me.
  21. now you know why your instructor hemmed & hawwed LOL
  22. besides if you call, that takes the fun out of charging the mailman everyday like a rabid animal LMAO!!!
  23. jimmy naifeh is what happened to tennessee.
  24. Lisa Knight, Manager 1150 Foster Avenue Nashville, TN 37243 (615) 253-5221 866-849-3548 (toll-free) call her and ask. it took mine about 55 days.
  25. the tennessee handgun law is very clear on this issue. you are allowed to have your concealed weapon on you on school property WHILE picking up/dropping off kids at school and the weapon must not be touched or moved in any manner. you obviously wont be dropping kids off or picking them up so i guess the answer is no. for other states including TN, go here. http://www.handgunlaw.us/
