  1. if you dont mind, i believe i will pick up a box of 9mm and have a go at the XD. always wanted to shoot one of those. ok, now for the list. who is actually committing to showing up ? i know i am, i will be in a grey 90 chevy lumina.
  2. you want expensive? shoot a .357 sig. i just bought a box of white winchester 124 grain FMJs and with tax 50 rounds was just short of 25 bucks. i might shoot 2 boxes. if anyone has a 9mm or a 22L or something like that i can borrow, i will buy a box of that to shoot.
  3. im sure those mobile meth labs are in places far worse than a walmart parking lot.
  4. the bonny oaks location is flooded with mexicans who cant speak a lick of english and none of them ever have the correct documents. stay away from there at all costs. there is a new location on Cherokee Blvd. i would go there, and be there when they open the doors.
  5. the Vols wear orange for 3 reasons. Hunting on Saturdays, Football on Sundays, and trash pickup on the highway on Mondays.
  6. i work saturdays. that is why i was not involved in the discussion about the 3-gun match.
  7. i am still astounded that no other Chattanooga members have even posted in this thread. very disappointing. now i know why the Chattanooga chapter stopped having the Ryans meetings. there appears to be no sense of urgency.
  8. now you get to wait out the paperwork process after you get fingerprinted then visit the D.O.T.
  9. Fobus paddle holster about 3:30 with the butt of the gun tilted towards the front so i can get a good grip on the gun to pull it from the holster. retention is great with the fobus paddle holster. it has a positive click when the weapon is seated. the downside to it is that you have to give it a really good tug to release it from the holster. you better be wearing a belt.
  10. it has long been said that Glocks are not for two types of people. novice shooters and people with kids. i still say that sticking your finger into the trigger well for anything other than firing is still a bad idea. yes, you can practice to your hearts content, but toss in a real life scenario and adrenaline.
  11. if anyone runs across a deal for .357 sig ammo please let me know. that stuff is crazy expensive.
  12. the sad thing is that there has only been 4 people or so show any interest in this, and molonlabetn lives in Tullahoma. i know there are more chattanooga TGO members out there than just the 2 or 3 posting in here. dont make me have the admins whip out the location list on all you chattanooga members for those who do show up, if you have never had the chance to shoot a Glock 33 357 sig, your welcome to try mine. the only rule is i get your weapon for the same amount of rounds fired through mine
  13. 3-16 is good for me. now a time? lol and for everyone, this is on a Sunday.
  14. still waiting on a proposed date.
  15. you must not like your guns if your happy about hillary winning.
  16. i wont have an answer till i know when it is so i can arrange to get the day off. i should be good to go for when ever, but you know murphy's law........
  17. enjoy the site. i know we all do.
  18. is this thread dead?
  19. glad she is ok, and i stand corrected. why allow the addition usage of that sign if it is not legal on its own. that shows how loopy the TN handgun law actually is.
  20. the ghost buster sign is legal in Tennessee. i am not sure what the circumstances mean when your a ER patient brought in by ambulance to be treated as your wife was, its not like she walked into the hospital on her own and just ignored the sign. 39-17-1359. 21. http://www.leaa.org/218/218text.html that is the wording of the HR 218 LEO safety act of 2004 law that bush signed to give LEOs more authority with their firearms when off duty and retired. a business can be defined as "private property" and therefore under that clause, the HR 218 wording clearly states the same thing for retired and off duty LEOs. Sec. 926B. Carrying of concealed firearms by qualified law enforcement officers `(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of the law of any State or any political subdivision thereof, an individual who is a qualified law enforcement officer and who is carrying the identification required by subsection (d) may carry a concealed firearm that has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce, subject to subsection ( . `( This section shall not be construed to supersede or limit the laws of any State that-- `(1) permit private persons or entities to prohibit or restrict the possession of concealed firearms on their property; or `(2) prohibit or restrict the possession of firearms on any State or local government property, installation, building, base, or park. so yeah, that badge only appears to be worth anything while you are on duty. is it right or wrong? that is not up to me to decide. you can thank our bleeding heart liberal government for that.
  22. and you are correct. i looked and there isnt one on 58 highway.
  23. mine is very very close at all times, even when im in the bathroom doing anything. it is within arms reach if im taking a soak in the tub after a long days work, and if it wouldnt rust the darn thing, im thinking id bath it too haha.
