  1. Makes me sick every time I look at my Kahr. ..Worcester MA...hypocrisy and idiocy in action...they'll bleed Kahr for taxes and fees to operate while screaming their products are evil incarnate AND make it more difficult to manufacture and retail their products thus reducing the revenue stream. Come on down to Tennessee, we'd love to have the job and revenues.
  2. What should a professional charge, specifically the folks that do it for a living? I've gotten tremendous knowledge from other shooters at different venues but never asked what they do 40 hours a week. If you spend $15 or 1500 for training and don't shoot on any kind of regular basis, when the adrenaline is pumping I can only opine on shooter accuracy. I'll bet the 15 guy with practice will fare better than the 1500 guy with no practice. It's nice to have the certificate of successful completion but isn't that the starting point of continuing self improvement? Having been through more than one professional training class I urge everyone to seek out a qualified instructor mentor coach or guru and get continuing education
  3. Want a counter-point to Hollywood glorifying gun violence? I was watching WWII in Color on the Military Channel.   Invasion of Iwo Jima and Okinawa...human bodies subjected to real explosives and real bullets...
  4. You guys definitely have more kidneys to sell than I do...I know not much about bullpup design other than the coolness factor
  5. Haven't used them with a KT, but have used both the DeSantis and Remora in the back pocket with a small frame revolver and semi with good results
  6. When I was investigating ankle rigs I got some positive feedback on the Renegade Cozy Partner.   I still haven't bought an ankle rig...
  7. It looks like Ruger's "announcement" that they are entering the in-house custom shop market.   Lots of posters here are Ruger owners and fans, me included.   The GP is a solid platform and is currently customized by at least one high-end gunsmith, here's a used one for sale...   http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=391325696   and the gunsmith   https://www.geminicustoms.com/   $900 from Ruger or $1250+ from a true custom shop   I can personallyvouch for Marc's quality of work in the SP line.
  8. The newer models have quick release pins for faster breakdown, supposedly our older models can be retro-fitted...   Anybody looking for a TS stock? I swapped back to my ATI Storm knock-off
  9. I thought WM had a posted ammo policy and it was enforced...except in the case of cronyism and cash in the till. Store management has a no tolerance policy? Eff WM and the clerks who blow their buddies. I guess you have really arrived when you got an in with a clerk at WM.
  10. Are you looking for something else chambered in .45acp or specifically a 1911?   We can definitely help you spend your money, just let us know your max budget!
  11. TDR is right on the money, how else can a legal owner/seller protect him/herself unless the buyer provides proof of residency?   You will also see some sellers asking for a TN HCP as part of the verification process; while it may not exclude a purchaser, it does dis-suade the riff-raff.
  12. NOT an expert, but I think the radiant heat from your body will keep the grease/oil warm enough for function.   If it's excessively cold, there is are no moisture issues, I guess you could use could you use a graphite lube of some sort?
  13. Funny until I remembered the new federal worker minimum wage is $10.10; can't wait until it hits the mainstreet!
  14. I think you are on to something, the tax break  maybe the inability for guv'mint to collect payroll taxes on foreign workers in addition to all the other "fees" levied on business for the privilige of having employees.   Since the business is not paying for those folks, it is obviously a tax break, just like repealing the Bush tax cuts - they expired and it was rightfully guv'mint money long before that no good Bush took it out of the coffers and re-distributed it to the folks who paid it in.   It's like slamming GE for a "zero" tax burden on zillions of earning; resulting from the manufacturing and selling high efficiency appliances. I am all for efficiency to perserve resources, but who exactly pushed this initiative? Who exactly told business we will give you tax credits for following the initiative? Why is it GE's fault that everyone went out, embraced this initiative  and got new energy efficient appliances? Finally, who offered tax credits to tax payers for buying high efficient appliances, autos, hvac, etc?
  15.   This appears to be the age of Rand's fiction...
  16. I heard 'executive order' one too many times.   The Veep has a disturbing smile   The majority leader looked ill   My favorite was "if you have a alternative plan to insuring more folks, let's hear it."
  17. This reminds me of changes with the Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) that business is supposed to file for cash transactions over 10k to be reported to the IRS. In today's world, if the amount is under 10k, but the business "thinks/feels" it is suspicious, we are required to file a SAR.
  18. What about the rest of the story? According to WIKI by the mid to late 40s the old political machine was back in office and back in business.   It speaks to the ignorance of the masses.   Let's go back to ancient Rome prior to the empire. The same senators and family dynasties were elected and re-elected by the mob...those folks had all the money and bought elections through high dollar/high profile campaigning, sponsoring games in the arena, distributing free bread...   In the modern day US, we have the same senators, congressmen and their designees elected and re-elected through high dollar/high profile campaigning, sponsoring new guv'mint programs and re-distributing my bread through the tax code.   I vote and my vote counts.
  19. I wonder if Ghandi or Dr. King would support and approve of  non-violent protest and conscientious-objectors to perserve the 2A...   In the word's of Nancy Regan, "just say no"
  20. LA lost any and all support when I sent a letter asking for his stance and support of the Fair Tax.   Urged him to contact Jimmy Duncan who is a sponsor and take a leadership role for TN solidarity in both houses of Congress   I got back some noise about cap and trade how he was aware the tax code needed fixing...

    Walther PPK

It's not a ppk but Bersa has a knock off in their thunder line. The particular model is the Thunder plus, 14 rounds of .380 same size as the regular thunder Grip is a little thicker for the double stack mag; which I actually liked since it fit my hand better. Sold it because it was the only 380 I had, extra mags were always sold out and I was able to fund another gun.
  22. My 995 carbine looks pretty evil with the ATI storm knock off stock...and shots the same caliber as my primary self defense round and is accurate and effective from 25 - 100 yards...what's not to like?
