  1. more like halo, call of duty and gta...
  2. Watched through the credits, ammo is fiocchi 9x21 124gr. Make a difference at these distances?
  3. Looks good to me, what's beyond the logs?
  4. I renewed by mail and it took 3 weeks. Others have had similar experience but I would be proactive once you get your renewal form.
  5. My opinion on selecting a bug would be partly based on how well I could shoot it with my off hand. Makes sense since it is probably carried from weak side draw. If I present my bug I figure: 1. Can't access my primary (time/body position in relation to direction of threat)2. My primary fails and I don't have time with weak side draw to switch the bug to strong side shooting 3. Strong side is immobilized from injury 4. I'm a southpaw and get car jacked- its nigh impossible to left hand draw from the driver's seat and target a threat in the driver's window. My bug is a car gun for that very reason. I don't carry my bugs since they are not lightweights and have been primaries - MK9 and a pair of SP101s (and the MK9 is currently in primary rotation)
  6.   DS, I don't know exactly how May apples grow, but if they're like regular apples, you must have some pretty cool tree-climbing turtles out there in Grainger County...
  7. I think it would be "safer" not to head down range when the line was hot, even if I had trained with my shooting buddies.   I understand they have trained / deployed together and probably have the skill set to operate safely in this kind of environment.   Heading down range in this particular scenario didn't appear to be a training exercise, just one guy impatient to allow the shooter to finish and wanted to get the target ready for when it was his turn.   What if the Saiga had jammed, shooter muzzle-swept the area when trying to clear and had a ND? Not probably but falls within the realm of possible.
  8. You may get a knock on your door inquiring why you're trying to buy second hand yellow cake from Iraq...
  9. This is a very important feature for any handgun owner who moonlights as a double naught spy
  10. For "dressy" I bought a black leather Goodrich and Gould at Greene's. sub 50. My first belt was the 5.11 Casual - maroon leather made in China. This belt has been in service got 5+ years and construction wise still in great shape. Down side is how poorly the finish has held up in the area where the holster clip rides on the belt. I guess I could hit it with some shoe polish...
  11. CZ fan because they're "czexy" I've got 2, a 75B Omega and P01 SDP ergonomically the best for my hand. My MK9 isn't too far behind and I have a special place in my heart for my pair of SP101 s
  12. Check out ebolamonkeyman.com
  13. 2 posts and he probably gets an over ride from the Internet retailer. Cool t shirt and teespring looks like a neat idea for marketing/selling without having to stock inventory. May be a violation terms of use AND let's get some TGO shirts designed!
  14. Either/or for me depending on attire. I didn't find the cross breed style comfortable and landed on the N82 tactical. Mostly love it.
  15. The likelihood of the unwashed masses noticing that you're printing with a Nano is slim to none, both in Illinois and here in Tennessee. While I am very much an "under the radar" kind of guy, I could care less if I get made; I have a permit, don't knowingly violate gfz's and actually invest time and money to be proficient with my handguns. you'll be fine once you drink our Kool Aid
  16. If it's an NRA sanctioned class, I assume the content is good and the instructor to be decent. Quality and competency of Instructors can and will range wildly. What's the cost?
  17. A quick search revealed GAF can be purchased at home depot...so they are selling as a DIY product. The "certified" installer clause is an escape clause, along with the underlayment requirements. My guess is shingles don't fail, it is installation error so retain a competent contractor
  18. NOT a roofer buy make sure the shingles are rated for southern summers
  19. Cassidy’s bill would simply modify the Internal Revenue Code to replace the definition of an antique gun from one made before 1898 to one manufactured in or before 1913, the last year before World War I. I admit I am out of touch with the thousands of federal, state and local gun laws on the books, but they need to modify the INTERNAL REVENUE CODE???!!! How many different guv'mint agencies have oversight or more importantly exert control, influence and limitations on the 2A. ATF, FBI, EPA, IRS; who else is in the act?
  20. I carried a 75B Omega as my primary edc for years and recently downsized to a P01 SDP. With a good belt, holster and appropriate cover garment it worked for me and I'm 5' 8" × 165 lbs.
  21. Oh, even with all the advice and guidance here you'll still end up with a box of holsters, it's a right of passage. For pocket carry, the Remora or Nemesis are good choices for holsters. Have used both for my SP101. Buy a good belt!
  22. Prag, thanks for the kind words, it was a pleasure meeting you and Jericho.   This was my 4th and 5th training sessions with Randy, so any review I add will appeared biased, but here it goes:   What's in it for me: as the host of any SI training event, your fee is waived. That's it. No kick backs, no free ammo, no free t-shirt.   The instructor: Randy is very much a low-key, non Type-A kind of guy. Best way to describe his style: teaches doesn't preach, shows doesn't tell. He uses just enough humor to create a fun and relaxed training environment. I will say  Randy doesn't need to brag about skill, he can "do" but is not a showoff! Randy also shared with us the instructors he seeks out for continuing ed so he can be a better teacher today than yesterday.   The venue: my in-laws had the shooting area perfect for us and the weather was great. I always provide a pop-up shelter and table - it makes a difference to have some shade.   Shotgun day. I am more practical than tactical. I ran my 870 Tactical with a front bead sight, $14 Gander Mtn sling and pants with big pockets for extra ammo. I also have a good belt (leather 5.11 Tactical) I was a little jealous as the other students had much cooler shotguns with accessories - side saddles, improved sights/optics,  etc. harness systems for dump / shell bags, fancier slings, etc. Did I feel out of place - not at all. Did my bare bones Remington do the job - yes and flawlessly. I did learn the pull of my shotgun is too long, especially when transitioning from a ready position to my shoulder. Need to cut it down to 12.5" - 13" from the factory 14" - 14.5". I handled Randy's pump with a 13" pull and it was easier to get consistent placement when brought to my shoulder. Am I more comfortable and confident with my shotgun - yes, do I better understand how to utilize a shotgun in a fight, either from a static position or moving - yes. We also learned how to transition from shotgun to handgun and started the habit of automatically working the slide immediately after firing and topping off.   Handgun day. Only 3 students, not good for Randy's pocket, good for us as we got more personal attention. Once again, I'm not tactical, same 5.11 belt, N82 Tactical holster for my P-01 SDP and a High Noon Hidden Ally for my MK9. Started out with PESTS EAT FAST or how to avoid and if it goes bad how to win a fight. Excellent refresher during dry work, grip, sight picture, trigger control and reset. Moved onto draw stroke, all the while, slow is smooth, smooth becomes fast. Live fire exercises were awesome, Prag brought some steels which added a neat dimension to the experience - paper is static, steel falls down. Never though I could hit a target 3 times before it hit the ground. A few things I learned: the sweat protection offered by the N82 Tactical holster is perfect, 2 eight hour days and the back of the holster was soaking wet - no transfer to my pistol. The sweat shield does make it more difficult to get a consistent, good grip on my pistol, so you do have to concessions. I need to work on my transition from DA to SA on the SDP for consistent first shot placement. I will also give a strong endorsement to the MK9 for shootability, it eats up the recoil, is fun to shoot, flawless operation and accurate. The downside are the 6 / 7 round mags which are NOT drop free. With multiple BGs and a low-cap handgun you may have some big pucker action...   We also did some alternative sight indexing, meaning you are aware of the sights, but at 3 - 7 yards, a perfect sight picture is desired but not necessarily critical for getting rounds on target --- no we did not learn "point shooting"!!!   The last thing to mention is SI teaches "explode off the X" or simply move from your original zip code while drawing and be in a new zip code when you fire.  They give the building blocks from a static position so when you do move, you have the confidence and are able to get rounds on target.   As always, I enjoyed the sessions and feel I am better equipped today than before to handle a close encounter of the bad kind, I strongly endorse Randy Harris as my "go to guy" and lastly if you do carry a handgun please seek out continuing ed / ongoing training from a top tier professional expert in the field!
  23. You should also check out Cajon gun works and automatic accuracy. Both shops have a strong CZ focus. Matt Mink runs automatic accuracy and shoots for the CZ team.
  24. Just ran 200 rounds through mine this weekend. Flawless operation running different shooting drills. My on going challenge is consistent first shot placement from DA. Once I'm in SA, let the good times roll. for me it's a combination of the weight, balance and near perfect overall feel in my hand. I'm a huge CZ fan, I edc'd a 75B Omega for years and never "needed" another primary handgun. This thing could do it all, edc, hi cap, compete, range, etc. Then I had the chance to trade my M1 carbine for a P01 SDP. 2 less rounds, easier to carry, will accept the 75B mags, plus all the aforementioned benefits - it's how you end up with two like hipower or 4 like the guy I traded with...
  25. I missed the "a" and yes the carbine...
