I listened to about 3 minutes of a leading Marxist economist. He started strong, it is illegal to have a economic monopoly, but perfectly acceptable to have a political monopoly. Americans have no choice and are forced to decide how much of a republican or democrat they are. Elsewhere in the world, people who get 5 - 10% of the vote get a place to represent their voters. Not here, the cost and the club are barriers to entrance so their power and influence isn't diluted or challenged. He mentions the big business of the media is rewarded through supporting the monopoly. Goes on to say the political monopoly supports a capitalistic market and takes advantage of it. Our elected officials get to participate in publicaly traded companies, even when they sit on committees influencing that specific market segment. For you and me, that's insider trading. I tuned out when he said, "Americans should also have the choice regarding capitalism..." He opening arguments are spot on. It will take someone like a Donald Trump with a cult of personality to create a viable third party

I re-read my answer and sticking to it. The February issue of the Rangemaster Newsletter speaks to the use of lethal force. Can, may, should, must. Tom also highlights through the inclusion of this content, as an instructor, I am not a legal expert and to be cautious and aware when having these conversations with students and others.

Poor Mans Benelli M4? Horrible Clone? or a Smoking Steal?

I'd like to have a semi of some sort, but the old 870 Tac hasn't been used since our last shotgun class. My shotgun ammo was definitely bought cheap and still stacked deep. I will say with a few hours of instruction, one can run a pump pretty efficiently. -
Bearden location is the place to visit. I would be very concerned if family or friends have to navigate this parking lot https://www.wate.com/news/top-stories/tennessee-sues-accuses-food-city-of-contributing-to-opioid-epidemic-through-unlawful-sales/

Your frustrations, anger and pain are so obvious, please know you have another prayer warrior in your army. By sharing, the strength you have shown during this extended season of suckiness is encouraging to me in my walk with Christ. I hope this song give you a moment of peace and helps you recharge to be the best you can be for yourself, your family and your daughter. https://youtu.be/59K8eLe6TWo

If we're within $1000, I call it good. They're not holding too much of my money and anything I have to pay, that money is in my control. Regarding new and shifting tax brackets; 3 year ago, our gross income increased about $4000, our tax burden increased about $3600 YoY. Not much incentive to make that extra money...but hey, we rich folks are fortunate and greedy.

Feeling lucky? How about a barrel full of 5.56?

Ah, the soulless AR. I'm in your club. Good news, if I win, many rounds would be for sale to TGO members and NOT at parking lot prices! -
Those tires are for your garage kept, street legal race / drift car...

Routine rotation was the light bulb for me to get the most out of a set. Currently have 40k (new on vehicle when I bought) on a set of Kuhmo Crugen HP71s (235/50R19 V-rated) sitting at 6/32. Quiet, excellent traction and grip, more the adequate for my off pavement adventures and highway cruising. I am still amazed at the improvement in ride after each rotation. On to speculation, searching historical prices is not a simple task. I did discover the tire market has declined over the last 3 years. If oil prices impact tire production and if people are driving less due to price at the pump and ability to work in a remote environment, then demand could drop more. All those factors could impact the mfg-ers cost and need to increase price to maintain margins. I haven't purchased tires in over 6 years, but it seems a decent, known name brand, standard size set for an SUV is $175-$225 per plus mount/balance/disposal.

Great question, I'll do a little google searching

When someone who owns multiple franchise dealerships mentions it, it catches my attention. Buy hey, he's a Jimbo with idiot friends and suppliers. I hope it is incorrect and speculation. At least I don't have to learn Mandarin to be retrained to assemble 70% of the solar panels made in China. I have also made sacrifices and continue to make sacrifices to live well below my means, so I guess I can afford to get gouged at the pump and pay the overall cost of goods and services impacted by increase oil prices.

A recent conversation with a auto dealership owner was curious. He said his tire distributors are anticipating a 25% +++ increase in tire cost. Why? Oil is a large component. I'm sure in saving the environment, no one considered this impact.

Wanted to provide an update. Not on @willis68 but rather on the blade itself. It is already showing signs of how soft the steel is and I've not abused it. As I mentioned, the overall construction for the $75.00 price point is a good value and my perception of long life. It is now obvious to me what the extra $$ buys, quality of steel and the process used for the blade to hold an edge. "You spent $150 - $300 on your new pocket knife?" "Yep."

I will add, I am a strong proponent of the medical use of CBD and THC. Too many beneficial results to force folks to buy unknown quality from the independent pharmaceutical entrepreneurs.

My employer has a similar stance, proceed at your own risk. Is Pilot a safe source? Or that questionable Stop-n-Rob (tm Tom Givens) in a shady part of town? I'm also concerned with the legalization question, still illegal with gun ownership? I'm not willing to let .gov make me a criminal, CBD or THC

My dad is brilliant physicist who has turned liberal. I occasionally remind him he is ignorant as his spouse only watches CNN. "Pop, if you get your information from only one source, that is ignorance. Is that the proper application of the modern scientific method?" For me, I get a little from TV, my wife watches a little GMA / Hoda / Jenna while drinking her coffee in the morning. Other places I visit most days TGO, The Truth About Guns, Ammoland, The Firearm Blog, Gateway Pundit, PJ Media, Twitchy, Yahoo / Google News, AP, NPR and whatever flows from the radio. I sort through and try to eliminate the rhetoric and adjectives as I read.

Not an off-roader, more off pavement. If you must have open air, not a good choice, but I had a '99 Pathfinder, 3.0L V6, 5 speed that was reliable. In 4W-L and the 5 speed, my perception was, "slightly bigger tires and a little lift, this would be pretty capable." Price points for what you're looking for are high, especially for rust free. Mechanically, it's a used vehicle, so it's a crap shoot... Figure what you want to spend on the vehicle and search. Best time to buy is when you don't need it. Set aside another $1000+ for get ready. I would be prepared to change all fluids, questionable suspension parts and disclosed areas of attention assuming a reasonably honest seller. Set aside another $1000 for accessories for your part of the buildout

That is pretty awesome, thanks for paying forward and supporting the TGO community!

In terms of selling, I do some light research on what a reasonable price is. If I know ya, you'll get a friendsvamd family discount. If not, well, the price is the price. It's fair and I probably don't have to sell. Buying is tricky. Emotional impulses can create logical justification.

I've always liked AIM and have had good results with their on PPU ammo.
