https://www.yahoo.com/news/democrats-line-gun-control-national-security-102310047.html Clever spin - If you are against gun control, you are for terrorists getting guns. Sick.

I too have noticed less participation. With my recent projects and learning new stuff, been trying to be a little more proactive with related posts to the projects. A resolution was to witness and testify, haven't done that on TGO, it would certainly be lively.

Ultimak rail installed, solved the ejection problem. Revealed a second issue, bolt not stripping fresh round from magazine. Bolt also not moving far enough to the rear to catch the LRHO notch on the mag follower. I did replace the guide (recoil) spring, it was longer than what I removed. Will replace spring, function test and report back. Did get it sighted in, now I really want to bang away to see if the Millet SP1 red dot holds zero and holds up. Only way to use irons will be to remove the sight.

And the Fed is guilty of being the largest enabler of, if not a direct participant in, straw purchasing under U.S. law, if those rules were enforced outside our borders. It seems to me the foundation of most gun law is to keep guns from being sold to, purchased buy or gifted to "dangerous people" either directly or indirectly. The U.S. sells and gives arms, indirectly and directly to dangerous people, all the time. I don't believe the founding fathers envisioned a central government with armed minions, coupled with one of the most powerful standing armies on the planet. I believe one reason for the 2A is they COULD envision a central government with armed minions coupled with one of the most powerful standing armies on the planet.

Thorough cleaning / inspection of firing pin channel?

I was ordering some magazines are checked out availability of 9mm, .30 carbine and 7.62 Tok and .303 Brit. Had it all at prices $2- $3 cheaper per box than I've been able to find without buying in bulk. Shipping starts at about $15, so you trade tax at $150 and still save buying small quantity. Not sure it makes a difference, but even to my very limited experience, I can tell the difference in the case between the PRVI.303 and Rem UMC .303. The Rem is a better machined piece of brass.

Thanks for positive report since I bought one, $90 to my door from primary arms. Impressed with the quality of manufacture. Now I understand why rails and mounts can get pricey...comparing a nice piece vs. the budget stuff I usually buy. Got to Dremel some material from the stock for the front clamp and I should be good to go. DID YOU LOCK TITE? Saw an article in my googling refering to the M1C as the original PDW. Best I can tell it'll do all I need it to out a 100-ish yards. Like your set up, I went with folding stock for covert in plain sight transport. For you gals and guys who just like to shoot your M1C, switching your original wood for synthetic is a pretty affordable option. (Since it's your zombie gun and has a Type 2 barrel band with lug, Fulton Armory has bayonets which won't break the bank)

I think the imstrument case would look out of place for me. Stopped in at Academy (gasp) to check out bags since its Across the parking lot from the Courtyard. It appears the $20 Wilson tennis racquet bag may work. The shape is more duffle bag-ish. Have to check the width of the carbine as the bag is is 4".

The only way to stop a bad guy from getting a gun is remove guns from society. Except in the case of the bad guy making and using an improvised firearm; good thing there are laws against stuff like that. Are you kidding me, with a little practice and a properly functioning weapon, how much havoc could one cause with a single shot, double barrel shotguns or 5 - 10 round fixed box magazine long gun.

Here's the problem with the no fly list, it's not clear who is on it, how you get on it and no real process to get off it. Carry overs from the Patriot Act, which interestingly impacts the BSA (bank secrecy act), which forces your financial institution to financially profile in cooperation with law enforcement. Meant to originally catch drug dealers laundering money, currently to catch terrorist transferring funds. Strange transactions in your personal account cause reportable red flags. If LE, including the IRS think it's not legally your money, they'll lock you down.

Erik88 brought his to class, I opted not to shoot, but was impressed by the quality of build. Definitely commercial+ grade equipment.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/want-buy-assault-rifle-florida-no-problem-073038767.html In Florida, buying one is no problem as long as you're 18, a legal resident of the United States, aren't a felon or a domestic abuser and have no documented mental health or substance abuse issues. (Pretty easy for a citizen in good standing to pass, and why shouldn't it be?) are the state's basic rules: — All firearm purchases from federally licensed dealers require a background check, regardless of whether the buyer has a concealed weapons permit. — There is no waiting period to buy a rifle. There is a three-day waiting period to buy a handgun, and handgun buyers must be 21 or older. — People charged with or convicted of a felony can't buy guns. Neither can people who have been convicted of two or more DUIs, have been involuntarily committed to a mental health hospital or have a restraining order against them. (Acceptable application of common sense) Whether Florida gets its gun laws right depends on the perspective. Brian Malte, the national policy director for the Brady Campaign, said getting a gun is far too easy in Florida and private sales don't require a background check. (Too easy Mr. Malted? Why do you propose to make it harder for citizens in good standing to purchase firearms and what steps would you put in place?) (Be careful about the lawful and private disposition of lawfully obtained private property, looter.) Of course, some of the disqualifiers, like mental health and substance abuse, would have to be self-reported if there's no record of the problem. Bailey said people can't be denied a gun just because other people think they're mentally ill. "Not in a free society," he said. "There has to be some sort of determination that that person is mentally incompetent." (Perhaps a dive into the fragile state of mental health care should be the focus, not the tools used to cause physical harm.) "People use AR-15s to hunt deer, to hunt hogs, to hunt all kinds of game," he said. "Think of the over 1 million people that have them and have never misused them, and they want to do away with certain aspects of the gun permitting or buying weapons because of one person's lawlessness." (Couldn't have said it better)

I've spent a lot of money at Academy Sports, but....

Only thing I've ever bought from them is a pop up shelter (used at gun classes, so they might ought pull from stock too) -
Mounted with supplied rings, on Ultimak forward optic handguard rail. I was concerned about it being that far forward with only a 1" tube. The small diameter works well as it does not obscure the field of view and when I move the carbine to shooting position, the line of sight is nigh perfect for me...sometimes you just luck out. Bought this for my M1 Carbine project. http://www.opticsplanet.com/millet-electronic-red-dot-sights.html Construction and finish: all aluminum, but because of the light weight, it feels like it's rated for an airsoft or .22. Advertising claims otherwise. Caps and battery compatment have gaskets and threads seem well machined. Machining on threads for sunshade extension also seem well done. Clicks for adjustment and brightness are positive. Takes the CR2032 standard battery, life unknown, not advertised; one reviewer states he left it on level 3 setting for 3 months and it was still working. I keep a 3 pack of extra batteries in my gun bag since the budget 30mm BSA red dot on my HiPoint carbine uses the same. Durability: $60 invest from Optics Planet, 66% positive reviews. Decent odds. More positive reports when mounted on PCCs. Other reports of good success on AR/AK/Shotgun with the 1" vs. 30mm tube. Clarity is good, but distorted around perimeter of field of view. Definitely expected some distortion at this price point and it's acceptable to me. It looks like a dot, but I don't have anything really to compare it to. On setting 11, the dot is very visible in bright sunlight. You know it has to be a good red dot, theirs only go to 10, this one goes to 11, so it's 1 better. Using a hair scrunchie, supplied by my wife with an odd look on her face, I rigged it scout style to my carbine, I think (and hope) one properly mounted, it will be functional. It looks pretty cool, so I'm adding swagger points. Will update after re mounted and sighted in.

It's a deal, they bundle them for the equivalent low internet price point on each. Saves shopping time, single transaction for two -> feel good buying environment and encourages the purchase of ammo and accessories for 2 totally different firearms. Not too shabby and still a good deal if you're in the market. I've shot the Taurus, surprisingly nice little pistol.

With the dimensions of my carbine and overall weight, its more than likely perfect. The other one I found was the under armour messenger style http://m.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=31229046 More $$ and I'm already over budget, but welcome opinions. I travel with work so I need something under the radar for transport to/from house / car and to/from car / hotel check in and out.

I think the sore spot with all firearm warranties is the $55 no other option one way shipping fee. A few weeks to fix, I'm ok with that as long as it comes back fixed. You would think a brand name like Sig would send you a shipping label, at least for the first owner

But do you look like a tennis/racquetball player? They usually don't wear camp and 5.11 cargo pants. I keep coming back to this product, don't wear camo or drive a tact'ed out SUV or pickup... Could you post a pic or two with gun in bag?

I use a comptac minimalist padde for my p01, love it. -
From Show and Tell to actual sight in and function test my tactified M1 carbine. I have a rather pricey single shot weapon as the Numrich over- receiver scope mount perfectly prevents proper ejection. Nothing more money shouldn't fix with a scout style railed forward handguard from Fulton Armory...and a new rear sight. I am really hoping the Millet SP1 red dot purchased for the Numrich mount is still functional mounted that far forward.

I have 2 factory and 2 aftermarket for my 75b. None are marked, so I couldn't tell you which was which. All 4 work flawlessly in both my 75b and P01.
