  1. Thanks for the links and recommendations, especially on the American Quality, I like the price point!
  2. Hughd, thanks for the links, I forgot about Aim during my Google searches! Swede, being new to the caliber and the Lee-Enfield, I appreciate the info!
  3. New hammer, trigger, springs and whatever magic they perform on the internals. If they can get it close to the SDP I got from them, it should be pretty darn sweet.
  4. I've got a 75B Omega...the most obvious difference in the trigger system is the trigger bar. On a standard or a P01, the trigger bar is a u shape and straddles the mag well. The omega trigger bar is a single leg. I believe (not verified) this my be the system in the p06 / p07 line. If you want an all steel duty-rated range gun, home defense/night table, and carry I think you'll be pleased. I'm toying with the idea of sending mine to CZC for a tune up...about $200 plus shipping...
  5. Epoxy with proper prep is a virtual lifetime floor in residential applications. It will chalk out (go from gloss to matte) over a few years due to uv exposure...
  6. If anyone sees any deals from your favorite online retailer, please post or pm me. Thx GtG
  7. Need one for an M1 carbine Anyone got an extra one Greater Knoxville area I'll come to you Cash buyer Hate to pay shipping on a <$10 piece of bent metal.
  8. Rain hasn't deterred us in the past. Rain keeps it cool. If you have a pop up shelter, please consider bringing it. Great for shade or out of the rain...
  9. The non corrosive is disclosed at WWII vintage with patina and dusty (?) and non reloadable. Think Midway would step up if it turns out to be junk?
  10. Especially since I bundled in a sporterized M1 carbine with it....swapping out the stock for a Choate folder...old school tacti-cool
  11. TWRA for public shooting ranges, or private property in the county.
  12. Ice being cheap, pack a cooler 1 -2 days before needed, add drinks, re-Ice. Pre-chilling any cooler will help. Really cheap Styrofoam environmental killer coolers have excellent service time.
  13. Thanks for the info!
  14. Started looking around and found: 150/174/180 gr. / fmj-sp / boat tail - non-boat tail. All within pennies per round from assorted mfg'ers Anticipate shooting no more than 300 yards from a sporterized SMLE. Need some education! Thanks in advance.
  15. Met with the property owner yesterday, training ground on deck for grooming.
  16. Deserves a cool frame!
  17. At least print media doesn't influence the delivery of news via body language, personal magnetism and tone of voice, as clearly exhibited by a vast majority of the talking heads. the issue is how most Americans access and receive their news...it requires no critical thinking
  18. Great topic since I'm now in market. Bought a chopped M1 carbine with a numrich mount and rings. Receiver was tapped and it uses the rear dovetail as part of the mounting. No rear sight. because of the rings, I'm leaning towards the recommended Burris. (Now 179.99 at PSA) for 100 yards or less shooting -good choice? Open to other options or opinions. thanks in advance!
  19. Her producer has stated the edits were simply for dramatic pause, so the audience could reflect on the question before the panelist answered. and y'all think politics is edgy
  20. The coating has filled some of the detail, here's what I could make with my un-aided eyes Above the S/N is looks like "MK 2" on the S/N line : 1 / 50 F F (or P F) then 6 digit S/N
  21. Proud new owner! Bought as is, except for the cheapo bipod I had in stock. Really excited about getting a bayonet and extra mag with with it as well. Whoever coated it did a great job (to my inexperienced eyes) Need a little advice, has an SK rail which replaces the rear sight, so I need a scope...I'm thinking 100 - 300 yard shooting...keep in mind that I've got $150 in the rifle...would buy used...recommendations?
  22. Thanks for the replies and info. My limited Internet-based research didn't indicate these were "proprietary" mags.
  23. I like the new mobile enabled functionality. Haven't checked it out on a lap/desk top. Really easy like to upload a pic from mobile device to TGO...big winn!
  24. Got a lead on one for $300. Aftermarket folding stock, full camo including barrel and receiver. Bayonet removed. Accepts AK47 mags. Owner reports shoots like a dream, but you have to hold the mag "up" otherwise it won't reliably feed. States can be remedied with a simple replacement of an inexpensive pin. I have no clue as to the level of skill or tools necessary to replace this pin. Other than a cursory handling when he first got it, I havent really inspected it, what should i be looking for?
