I think you got profiled, you were too alert and paying attention to stuff around you. Not normal amongst the mob of walking cash registers.

Gets back in the gun business through parts. So far so good. Starts selling guns beyond the casual seller / trader. Not so good. Hide the illegal selling by hiding the unreported cash from the sales. Eff him. It's thugs like this that give us normal right wing gun totin' individualists all a bad rap.

Most recent story I read indicated due to past indiscretions, he was not in legal possession of a firearm.

Companies trying to take advantage of fearful gun owners
A.J. Holst replied to suspiciousmind's topic in General Chat
Fear based marketing, even if it only the fear of missing or being left out. -
Add 10 states suing because the Fed hasn't coughed up the overages on the the guaranteed stop loaded, the ONLY way to fix it is the public option. And voila, end game won, .gov insurance for all.

http://m.warhistoryonline.com/guns/the-m-1-garand-rifle-story-x.html I enjoyed the perspective as it's written geared towards the first generation of users. If you like your 03 Springfield, you'll love your M1...

Exactly why the Antis say disarmament is the only solution.

My lord Jesus, Please make us an instrument of your peace, where there is hatred let us sow love; Where there is injury pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy! Grant that we not so much seek to be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life! I ask almighty God to shower you and your family with His peace, that He send legions of angels to comfort you and He draws you closer to himself

Kind of like the contestants, I mean guests on Maury and the target audience of ambulance chasing lawyer advertisements

My son was installing a security system and after asking the homeowner to use the bathroom, discovered it did not flush. The homeowner gave him 4 bottles of Dasani to flush with. Wow, brand name bottled water to pour down the toilet. Richie Rich rich you say? Not hardly. I like call them artists, since they draw (a check) At $4 a flush, I don't think we can win the War on Poverty.

Red dot / illuminated reticle suggestions?
A.J. Holst replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
All great recommendations; if my over receiver mount fails, I'll probably get a Burris Fast fire 3 I am specifically looking for a heavier duty option to the Millet SP1. The Numrich mount has integral 1" rings, so I am limited to what I can use. -
His victim picture shows he was a cuter kid than Michael Brown.

Yet another thread related to my M1 Carbine project. I have decided after my last outing, I hate the railed front handguard. After 50 rounds it's a heat sink and gets ridiculously hot. Also not a fan of the scout style set up. I've re installed the over receiver mount (no optics) and will run another 100+ to evaluate extraction. If successful, I will get a good optic . 100 yards and less, realistically 50 and less. Some kind of illumination 1" tube. $300 or less. Does it exist? I've been unsuccessful.

I'm about 80% on a Burris Fastfire, but have seen mostly positive reviews on the Ultrashot / Ultrashot Plus. Anyone have experience with this brand?

Nice shooting, Tex!

I'm like TrickyNicky, just like looking around. Never bought a knife, but did score my CZ vz.52 there. 9mm plinking ammo is market competitive (12ish per 50) and they always seem to have it. .30cal carbine and .303 Brit can be found waaaay cheaper. Nice display and selection of Sig Arms. It looks like they're getting out of the milsup biz.

Sight solution for Long and short range
A.J. Holst replied to ReeferMac's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I've had great luck with the 30mm BSA RGB ($40ish) mounted on my 9mm carbine. Zero complaints, held up through a training class, still zeroed and still on the original 2032 battery. I will report a failure on the Millet SP1 Red Dot. Something broke loose inside of mine within 100 rounds, so my opinion on budget...50/50 shot regardless of user reviews. To keep the thread alive, I am now hunting a reflex. Have read good reviews on the Burris Fast fire. Anybody got one or similar? -
It's alive, but needs just one more part...

Lolololol....many months ago. I've got an "almost too nice to shoot" Bavarian import, was looking for a beater to start this project. For an initial $250 investment, I though this was the one, quick stock swap and...spend more money buying tools and parts. It was non functional when i got it, so it needed mechanical TLC.
