That was the most irresponsible thing any journalist has ever done. What kills me is there are some who think the gun mans. and dealers should be held responsible when guns are used to commit crimes. But this newspaper seems to be getting a pass.

There is no reason to fear such action; it is human nature, and it is inevitable that it will happen The majority of people, including those who talk tough on the keyboard, will lay down their arms if confiscation ever occurs. I am fairly certain that I would act according to my convictions if such an event ever occured. However, don't think for one minute that I wouldn't seriously question my convictions if a group of individuals showed up at my house asking me to turn over my guns. It would definitely be a moment in which one would have to change underwear. Anyway, we aren't even close to a situation like that occuring, so it is really premature to discuss such matters. We have so much we can do legislatively to keep things like that from ever occuring, so it is best to focus our efforts in that arena instead of dwelling on the worst possible outcome. ..

How important is to be able to re-holster one handed? I ask because I am considering a Remora holster and I am not sure if i want the reinforce top or not. The RFT would allow one handed re-holstering but wouldn't conceal quite as well as the non-rft. So I was wondering how big of a deal it would be. Pros/Cons....I guess this is the right place to ask. I am more worried about the tactical/practical standpoint of it than I am the holster itself. I also intend to find some training this summer. Maybe someone could also tell me if the Remora will be allowed in most training classes. I thought I read where some classes required a holster attached to a belt.   

That's exactly the thing. This list represents the current Administration's effort to throw it all at the wall (Congress) and see what sticks. This is their wish list. They know some of it won't go through, and they will use those bits as bargaining pieces to get the more important things passed. The goal for us should be to put so much pressure on our representatives that none of it sticks. None of it passes. So much pressure that in four years, Obama and his cronies will have to pack up their toys and GTF home all sad and dejected. A lot of folks here love their Gadsden flags. They love the story of the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae. They love the challenge to "Come and Take" (Molon Labe). Well, this is your MOLON LABE moment, people. Now's when you start cranking up the pressure and let it be known that you don't want the people who work for you in Washington to give a single inch on this stuff. EDIT: What was I thinking when I wrote this?

The whole mental health thing really bugs me. I once read an article where some liberal psychiatrist said being into guns and spending time at a shooting range should be red flags. "Mental Health First Aid For Teacher"???  All these counselors....It's too easy to deem someone crazy and take their gun rights. And  a whole lot of the things mentioned are very vague. Vague is never good when it comes to the gov't. 

I don't understand why .22lr gets so scarce. That has got to be the most popular round.

I'm not trying to be argumentative with you. i apologize if I come across that way. Our conversation has brought up a point that I wasn't seeing before I posted this. That is doctors may need to be better educated on these issues. I was given Zoloft because my "sleep pattern was not normal." I was given heart medication for palpitations. No real investigation into the cause. That is why I found another doctor who did the right thing and investigated the cause and referred me to where i needed to go. Maybe if it were mandatory if a doctor prescribes some sort of psych drug that he refer you to a psychiatrist. Maybe that would make them think twice before prescribing them to treat other symptoms like in my case. 

I didn't go because i felt depressed. Why would I seek out psychiatric help if I don't feel depressed? A GP should have recognized the difference. Maybe putting people on these drugs who don't need them is dangerous. Maybe the drugs are dangerous whether needed or not. It needs to be looked into. 

Well said...I agree whole heartedly. But apparently no one wants to hear it. 

Zoloft made me very angry. Especially at first. I mellowed out some but I never felt right. When I came off (by my own decision) I had these scary spells. . Went to a different doctor. Gave him the same list of symptoms. Did some tests and found out I have sleep apnea. The spells were Zoloft withdrawal and lasted about 5 weeks. I think the other doctor just put me on antidepressants and beta blockers for kickbacks. He treated the symptoms, not the problem.  

I'm     I'm not demonizing. But this is interesting. I can tell you from experience Zoloft withdrawal lasts weeks. Nobody ever said meds don't have their place. Maybe the gist of the site is to show that there are some unknown side effects and not to demonize. 

Yeah. I was just about to add the gov't will never even acknowledge anything like this. much less investigate it. There would be no reason to take away guns if they found out psych drugs were the problem.

Like I said...Who cares. This silly little game isn't swaying anyone. After Sandy Hook this stupid game is going to be the deal breaker?!?!?! I don't think so. 

Either go in the attic or on the roof and look around. If it was at a 45 degree angle then the leak mightt be over another room and may not show up right away. Glad nobody was hurt BTW. I bet bricks were shat!!!

I agree the timing is a little messed up but my cow. Somebody dropped the ball. If someone was against guns they were that way before this game came out. It's just more grandstanding. I am not going to walk on eggshells for these idiots. There is nothing that can be done to please them that doesn't involve banning guns so why try? They have us doing everything we can to keep them from throwing a fit. They are just like spoiled children. And they know it!!! They are using it and it is working. I don't know about you but I'm tired of cowering and begging to keep what few rights I have when they have no place to remove them to start with! It's time we tell them how it's going to be for once!!  Rant over....very frustrated
