    Weather

In light of the coming weather i thought this was appropriate. Y'all be safe out there...   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rog8ou-ZepE
  4. If the manufacturers would throw their weight behind it they might make a difference but it would take them ALL. But there's always that one that will do anything for a dollar. It's a great idea though if they all would go for it.
  5. An interesting note: That NY Senate is controlled heavily by Republicans.
  6. This guy isn't just talking sh!t. He believes what he says. As do others. This is a true insight into what they will resort to to remove your freedoms. It would be so easy. They would deem us all nuts one by one and take our firearms. I agree with everything said. But sometimes stuff like this is taken too lightly. That's because we believe in liberty and we would never think of doing something like deeming others crazy in order to gain control of them. But they would. Whatever it takes. I wish i could find the article but read one right after Sandy Hook where a liberal psychologist claimed gun ownership and hanging out at a shooting range should be considered red flags.
  7. I got pretty much the same answer. But the dude put me thru to someone higher up and she also explained they did but participate didn't have a rep present at the last meeting with Joe "The Anvil" Biden. But there was another meeting coming up and there would be someone present at that one. She said that they haven't made a decision yet and were waiting until the second meeting. She gave me this link.    http://news.walmart.com/news-archive/2013/01/09/walmart-statement-on-white-house-meeting-to-discuss-firearms   Basically she said the rumor isn't true. (yet...pending the second meeting)
  8.   This seems quite plausible. The Dickson Wal-Mart has been running low of all kinds of stuff. We have been trying to get a humidifier for a couple of weeks. Dog food? good luck. It may very well just e inventory time. It's not unusual at all fr businesses to run low durring that time.
  9. I think you guys get it. The point being who decides who is nuts and by what standards? EVERYBODY could be deemed mentally ill for some reason or other. Where does it end. Disagree with the government? Wear this straight jacket. Not saying it's happening (yet). But you really have to be careful with mental illness or it could be used to remove freedom. I don't really think people who are scared of guns are nuts. Just misinformed. But you see how easy it is. I saw an article where a lady said hanging out at shooting ranges is a red flag. If I can find it I'll post a link.
  10. Aren't people who are afraid to go outside for fear of disease or something bad happening to them considered mentally ill or at least have a disorder? So by that logic aren't all those who are scared of guns mentally ill? I think yes.
  11. Well...I'm a plumber and I had an old man ask me once if I could adjust the water level in his toilet bowl lower so his nuts didn't go for a swim every time he sat down. That part of getting old probably sucks pretty bad.
  12. What everybody said. You already know the stuff. You just need your eyes opened to it. FPU is great. I recommend it.
  13.   Exactly. He is expressing his butt hurt over citizens being allowed to have guns.
  14. That was also pointed out in the article. I believe the issue is it sounds like he is making it clear that he's fine with shooting people to make a case for gun control. Sounds like he is going to blame lack of gun control for police shootings.
  15. Seems the Chicago cops want in some murder action, too. The USA is becoming a very scary place.    http://a4cgr.wordpress.com/2013/01/10/09-613/
  16. Dear God...Just put up your middle finger to him, WalMart. He can't make you.
  17. This actually means that doctors can't record any firearms related info for the government to collect. It says the ACA will not be used to collect any type of data nor can premiums be raised because of gun ownership. It doesn't say the feds can't start registration separately.      Buried in the 2,800 pages is Senate amendment 3276, Sec. 2716, part c.: (c) Protection of Second Amendment Gun Rights.– “(1) WELLNESS AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS.–A wellness and health promotion activity implemented under subsection (a)(1)(D) may not require the disclosure or collection of any information relating to– “(A) the presence or storage of a lawfully-possessed firearm or ammunition in the residence or on the property of an individual; or “(the lawful use, possession, or storage of a firearm or ammunition by an individual. “(2) LIMITATION ON DATA COLLECTION.–None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used for the collection of any information relating to– “(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition; “(the lawful use of a firearm or ammunition; or “(C) the lawful storage of a firearm or ammunition. “(3) LIMITATION ON DATABASES OR DATA BANKS.–None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used to maintain records of individual ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition. “(4) LIMITATION ON DETERMINATION OF PREMIUM RATES OR ELIGIBILITY FOR HEALTH INSURANCE.–A premium rate may not be increased, health insurance coverage may not be denied, and a discount, rebate, or reward offered for participation in a wellness program may not be reduced or withheld under [Page: S13491] GPO’s PDF any health benefit plan issued pursuant to or in accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act on the basis of, or on reliance upon– “(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition; or “(the lawful use or storage of a firearm or ammunition. “(5) LIMITATION ON DATA COLLECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUALS.–No individual shall be required to disclose any information under any data collection activity authorized under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act relating to– “(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition; or “(the lawful use, possession, or storage of a firearm or ammunition.”. (f) Section 2718 of the Public Health Service Act, as added by section 1001(5), is amended to read as follows:
  18. Other...M&P 40c and windows phone (until my contract is up) Then probably Anroid. Apple OS is too powerful to be so limited.
  19. Ha Ha..But you know we can't help it...They took our jobs!
  20. It's up to $180.00 now!!! Why didn't I think of this!!LOL Check out this Q&A..     Q:  I had a nd with a previous model ar on dropped it on my foot. Are there any safety features on this ar to prevent that from happening? Jan-09-13 A:  If you're a conservative, I would recommend exercises to improve manual dexterity. If you're a liberal, I would recommend steel toe boots.
  21. Dumbasses have bid $33.00.
  22. Thanks a lot. That's good to know. I kind want to forge more than material removal but I will probably do a little of both.
  23. Thinking of getting into making a few knives, hawks, etc... I am curious as to what or how to tell what materials will make good quality blades. I know things like old car springs and railroad spikes will make good ones. I have some old crowbars and prybars I figure should make good tough blades. What about bar stock? I have some about 1-1/2" in dia. It was probably (but not necessarily) used as electric motor/fan drive shaft. Maybe old pick heads or mattocks? Any suggestions will help. Thanks a lot.
  24. Typical Democrat. Side with the bad guys. I hear he turned Glenn Beck down before selling to the terrorists.
  25. A Republican, in a wheelchair, entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee. The Republican looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus sitting over there?" The waitress nodded "yes," so the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him. The next patron to come in was a Libertarian, with a hunched back. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus, over there?" The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat." The third patron to come into the restaurant was a Democrat on crutches. He hobbled over to a booth, sat down and hollered, "Hey there honey! How's about getting me a cold mug of Miller Light?" He too looked across the restaurant and asked, "Isn't that God's boy over there?" The waitress nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a cold beer. "On my bill," he said loudly. As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Republican felt the strength come back into his legs, got up, and danced a jig out the door. Jesus passed by the Libertarian, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Libertarian felt his back straightening up and he raised his hands, praised the Lord, and did a series of back flips out the door. Then, Jesus walked towards the Democrat, just smiling. The Democrat jumped up without his crutches and yelled, "Don't touch me .... I'm on disability!!"
