  1. How do the finishes hold up on either one of the finishes for the Henry's?
  2. I've been considering a golden boy by Henry or the regular octagon by Henry. Anything else I should look at? Thoughts? Recommendations? How well does the golden boy hold up? I've looked at what they call blued, but it looks more like paint to me. Thanks in advance Adam
  3. I would be ripping his arm off for that deal.
  4. My brother got to keep his bomb dog when they retired her. He said all the guys keep them.
  5. Awesome guns. Just need to make gen2s with gen4 texture and a light rail. Would be awesome.
  6. He just finished my Smith and Wesson 3953. I should be able to pick it up. He showed me some of his work. It all looked nice. My total was a little over $200, but I don't know everything he did for sure. I'll post a pic when I get it.
  7. What kind of sights? I have a sight pusher. In Chattanooga.
  8. I got to hold one today. Shooters Depot in Chattanooga has one on consignment. Felt really good.
  9. Haha. And after thinking so hard about handgun or gunsmithing, it ended up here. I'm sorry. Please move it wherever you want. I'm sorry.
  10. I wasn't sure if this should be here or gunsmithing. I think here, but it can be moved if I am wrong. I finally found a Smith and Wesson 3953. The is the single stack 9mm DAO version. It is a police trade in. I want to try my hand at dehorning the frame and slide. The slide is stainless and the frame is alloy. The gun needs to be refinished anyway. I was thinking anodizing the frame and getting coal creek armory to isonite it. I am open to other suggestions. Anyway, anyone have some good advice on how to get started? I see some people use files and some use belt sanders. I want to do as much as possible by hand. Any help? Thanks Adam
  11. The uppers are only swappable with Rock River Lar-8. There isn't a standard between companies since there is no milspec. AR10s are only made by Armalite.
  12. Yeah, you can't get a loan to buy a bankrupt company, but the bankrupt company can get a loan to buy a profitable company.
  13. Gen 4 for better grip and better mag release. They are identical in all other aspects.
  14. Glock 2nd Gen 19 or 17. I own both and they feel great. I've held a p30 and really liked it. I just don't like the price.
  15. I have a chance to trade for either. What would your vote be? Thanks in advance.
  16. I can't see it being a 380. Those are the same size as the small frames.
  17. They built a 100 yard range underground in Gad about two years ago. I'll definitely be in line for a carbine. I would also love to see something super small. Can't wait.
  18. I joined the CRC. I pm'd you about it around 6 months ago. Lol. I don't really expect you to remember. A few of you may have a visitor soon. Don't worry. I don't eat that much.
  19. The Rifle Club's is July 29th for reloading and the 31st for casting. I don't think I want to wait that long, but I think I would like to attend to learn anything extra.
  20. Just ordered my first press. I decided on the Lee Classic Press. That way I can single stage and use the turret when I get more comfortable. Going to start off with 10mm initially. I would like to move to rifle eventually. I've been reading about reloading, so I am not totally clueless. Anyone local want to give me some hands on experience? Going to build a bench for it, so I'll take any advice on that too. Thank you Adam
  21. Anyone watching Monday night football? Costas just quoted Jason Whitlock. Guess I should have found a copy of the script. Costas said he agreed with the statements. I took it to mean that he believes domestic violence occurs because of our handgun culture. I think I'm going to go and try and find the original article.
