  1. Tried Mother's mag and semi chrome. Still has swirl marks. Looks a little better though. Any other advice or keep rubbing until my hand cramps? The pitted spots look better but still there.
  2. That blows. I ordered my Lar 8 back in May. Still waiting. I would go crazy if that happened to me.
  3. I'll order some of that and give it a whirl. Now I just need to get some fancy grips.
  4. The 0000 steel wool helped a lot. Got the smaller spots out. Still have two spots left. You can fill it recessed some. May just leave it. What do you recommend as a final polish to remove all the swirl marks?
  5. I already have Hoppes and several clps. Already a gun nut, just never had a stainless before. I do have some 2000 grit polish. Just wanted to start off safe as possible.
  6. I have MAAS metal polish. How does that compare?
  7. Would a dremel with a cotton pad and polish be a bad idea?
  8. Tried that. Looks a little better. Definitely still there though.
  9. Details what I should start with? The gun has been sitting in the attic a long time. The previous owner had forgotten about it.
  10. I read that about the recall. Heard mixed reviews as to whether to do it or not.

  13. Just picked up an early 80s model. There are some black marks on the stainless steel. Any recommendations for removing them? I don't want to do anything harsh. Thanks for any input.
  14. Shooters Depot in Chattanooga had two in stock today.
  15. Best deal and great to deal with. http://theisholsters.com/
  16. I own Gen 4s in both the 19 and 23. No regrets here at all. Same grip with just a little more oomph. And you can save money by sharing holsters. Of course, I do own a 17 as well. It was my first handgun purchase. A lovely gen2. My dad had to buy it as I was underage at the time. That was 18 years ago.
  17. Sorry to hear that. Least you get two free mags.
  18. Was it like that when you got it or did it start after you took it apart? It sounds like the trigger safety spring may be inserted incorrectly.
  19. They wanted to spend more money on ammo. That is my vote at least.
  20. I second the positive review. I've used his holsters for almost two years. No complaints so far.
  21. I'll vote for the Buckmark as well. It doesn't require any more money to give it a great trigger. Just flip a spring and voila. Amazing. And it is much easier to disassemble and reassemble. I think both eat pretty much anything.
  22. He said there wasn't one in it. I haven't seen him give a response as to what anyone said when he asked them about it. I also haven't seen what Arsenal said about not honoring their own warranty.
  23. On Target looks bad, but Arsenal looks way worse. Have you asked them about their warranty statement?
