  1. I'll take the awesome lever action rifle, & the helicopter.......& oh, yes, Gregs' girl, LOL
  2. Got it. C&E shows dates for Jan, Sept., Oct, Nov. Went to the RK show in Lebanon this AM. Biggest crowd I've seen there.
  3. R K Show is in Lebanon this weekend, 12/22 & 23, BTW.
  4. According to their website, they're based in Ill. Saw nothing more than that, as far as any TN shows. Still early, tho, I guess. OH, well.......
  5. I mounted a 4X on a Dan Wesson 44 mag w. 8" bbl, back in the mid 80's. I think the scope was either a Weaver or Tasco, not sure. The mount came from B Square in Ft. Worth. Worked great, no drilling/tapping required. Killed a few deer with it, before it was stolen out of my Bronco.
  6. That's true. Not an easy thing to do in a split second.
  7. Thought about doing that when I bought my F-150, talked to the dealer, but was too expensive. Can't remember the figures, Seems like it was around $2K or so. There are several 'outside the dealer' companies advertising on TV, no prices quoted, but some dealers won't honor those & you have to file the claim yourself. My only suggestion wold be 'tread lightly', which goes without saying. Good luck........
  8. I use the Lowes in Lebanon, haven't noticed a Vets parking but really haven't paid attention either. I'll check the next time I go. I'm Retired Army + disabled Vet as well. Haven't gotten a placard as yet. There are times it would help, times I really don't need it. I do get the 10% discount, which helps, especially on large items. Kinda wipes out the sales tax + a little more. On a fixed income, every little bit helps.
  9. Good for you Bersa!
  10. The thought crossed my mind. Not the 1st strange thing that's happened back there. Just another reason to "carry". LOL
  11. Caught this pic a few nites ago, in the woods behind my house. Pic is in grey scale . Appears to be a long, wide beam of light about 30 to 36" in dia., at a slight angle. Definitely not a tree. Goes from the ground up as far as the camera showed. Appeared at 2 min. 23 secs past midnite. Large oak tress make a canopy where this was. Light could not make it thru like this. Found no sign of it next morning. Weird. Lots of strange things have occurred back there.
  12. I worked as a Deputy locally, and also as court officer. First mistake, ( MHO ), was to not allow restraints. Asking for trouble eventually. I agree, the officer should not have been seated at the table in close proximity to the defendant, while armed. This is very similar to the catastrophe in Atlanta a few yrs ago, that went bad, and caused the court system to begin courtroom security program we have today. Not all courts follow the rules. You can rightfully blame the judge if things go bad, but that won't restore someones life.
  13. Good to hear, great job guys. Glad your safe.
  14. Wondered that myself, tho sometimes tracking isn't as easy as it sounds. Sure there is a good reason why that didn't work. I just hope he doesn't slip thru a crack somewhere & hurt someone else. He doesn't have much to lose at this point, except his life.
  15. There is no such thing, unless threat exists. This ain't FBI & Ruby Ridge!
  16. I noticed that too, had to wait quite a long time while the clerk spent some quality time with a friend of his. Only been in there the one time, maybe a bad day, maybe usual way of doing things, Doesn't make for a good 1st impression. Next time I'm up there, I'll check out the Smoky Mtn Knife works as well.
  17. Slow news day!
  18. True. Last report I saw, he was still on the loose, & supposedly killed 2 already. Very dangerous.
  19. Stevens Crack Shot, single shot 22, w/ falling block lever. Lost it in a fire some yrs back. Really hated to lose that old friend.
  20. LOL, it's definitely that. Separate rooms ( sections ) for long guns & handguns, access. Kinda blew me away. Wasn't expecting that In spite of all that, they didn't have the pistol I was looking for. ( New model of PPS M2 Walther has come out with, with the RSMc red dot sight on it. ) Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
  21. If you're referring to Buds Guns in Seveirville, TN, it is huge. Also has online sales.
  22. Went this AM, good crowd. Saw several walk arounds. Parking lot was packed. Seemed like everyone there brought 2 vehicles. LOL. All around good show for me, still didn't find what I was looking for, but........
  23. R K Shows will be back in the 'boro tomorrow & Sun, if anyone's interested. I plan on being there Sat. Am for a bit. 1660 Middle Tenn Blvd. Mid-Tenn Expo Center.
