I ditched Direct yrs. ago & went to an antenna. Lost a few fav, channels, ESPN mainly, which carries the college football championship games. Direct kept going up like a hot air balloon. I could go on a rant about ESPN not simul-casting these games, as they do this with others, but I'll skip it, gets my BP up, LOL.

Pop, that was a great story. That will help him more than you may know. Some of the best times were with my Pa squirrel hunting & my uncle also. Both gone now, but I think of it all the time, and miss it so. I'd love to go just one more time.......... Thanks, & enjoy

No doubt they find the loopholes in the system. Strange the hunting license did the trick, but apparently so. I have a Lifetime hunt/fish license as a Disabled Vet. Maybe I can convert my HCP to lifetime with that. Of course, I'm not in Fla.

All true. A week or so ago, they locked it down when a vehicle buzzed thru without stopping. Security does change tho depending on circumstances, threats ( perceived or real ). Never know quite what you're going to get when you go. I'm an hour & half away, so I'm not there often, maybe once or twice a yr. You being next door, you probably have a better handle on things at the moment.

This whole thing, to me sounds like what we in the Army used to call a " cluster f---). How in the heck is a foreign national allowed to legally purchase a gun? As a Retired Army guy, with a military ID, I have to go thru ID checks at Ft. Campbell, CANNOT carry a gun on base, for any reason. We need to hire someone besides the fox to guard the hen house. This starts at D.C. & filters on down.

It's on my bucket list. Haven't made it yet, due to various reasons. I first learned of this a few yrs. ago while reading western novels ( my fav. books ). It told a story how cattle rancher Charles Goodnight stumbled across it during a cattle drive. Some of it was fiction, of course, but I looked it up, the canyon was real, and I became facsinated by it. There are several Youtube videos on it. Awesome place! I'm envious, LOL

Looks like a bunch of us are in the same situation. I've already started downsizing to just what I actually use or need. I sold my deer rifle, AR, crossbow, and one pistol. Have one more to sell, then I'm done. Gonna keep the PPS 9mm that I carry every day, plus a couple of heirlooms that I won't sell. I'll admit it bothers me quite a bit to have to do that, but, it is what it is, as they say.

Since he did about the same experiments as I did with mine, I won't add any to it. Will have to say, I don't see the "most dangerous" aspect. It's no more dangerous than any other cutting tool, to me. It does have it's uses, tho building cabinets, furniture, isn't one of them. Takes some practice for control. Regardless, I'm pleased with mine. To each his own...... Oh, and thanks for posting the video.

I understand where your Dad is coming from, It's tough to have to give up things you are used to doing & the tools that go with that. Hard row to hoe. Wish you folks the best.

Well...... just when you think you've seen it all! I'm impressed, every home should have one, just in case. The $450 price tag is going to delay me for a bit ( indefinitely actually ). I don't have an AR anymore, but maybe it could fit underneath my Walther PPQ. Oh well........

Wouldn't surprise me, LOL. It is stamped Made In USA. Other than that, I wouldn't venture to imply anything. I've got to give this little jewel a better run than I did when I got it. If it works out ok, hopefully the TGO faithful can sleep better at nite.

It's a nice gun show for it's size, in one large room, nice restrooms, super nice facility. C&E Shows doesn't have one scheduled for the remainder of this yr. ( so far ). RK shows has the next one in this area, in Lebanon, Dec. 21,22, 2019. The 'Boro show is bigger than the Lebanon show. I usually make both.

The Tulsa show is the largest show in the country. Been there once. It's something you have to see to believe, as for size. If you can't find it there, you probably don't need it, LOL.

Well, not what I was trying to say, but wouldn't be surprised. Stupid people do stupid things with power equipment. If you see a video, pass it along. Be fun to watch.

FWIW, if you get one of these, bear in mind, this is not a one piece item. There are two halves ( top & bottom ), and the chain. The tangs on the chain fit between the two halves & makes a groove like a chainsaw bar. Not a big deal, just took a bit of finger work to keep it in place while tightening the spanner nut. Have fun!

Well, I picked up an old suit of armor at a yard sale............Just kidding. Seriously tho, did get the thing installed, which took a bit of doing, gave it a bit of a try on a small cut. Worked good. Chain didn't fly off, ran smooth. Think this gadget just may work ok. I'll give it a better trial when I get to something worthwhile. Stay tuned, I guess, LOL.
