  1. America Motorsports near Rivergate handled all mine. They did a great job. Sloans is reported to be good also. Probably one is about as close to you as the other.
  2. You can get a decent trail cam for under $100 at Walmart, Academy, etc. They take good pics day or nite if it is equipped with infrared ( most are ). I have one ( Bushnell ), that I run 24/7 in the woods behind my house, picks up all kinds of critters, even 2 legged. Hate a thief, & love to catch one. Make sure wherever you set it up, it's not easily seen, or they'll steal it too. Had that to happen. Good luck, bud.
  3. He looked quite a bit worse for wear. Didn't look healthy. Whatever was bothering him, it won't again. Had to wash out the bed of my truck, he stunk up the place.
  4. Got this young coyote in my live trap last night. He's been hanging around for a few nites. Guess hunger got the best of him, that can of tuna was just too good to pass up.
  5. I used to hunt Catoosa ( Bi-Color), about every year. A bunch of guys from Hartsville & surrounding area, 10 - 15 of us. Rarely ever killed anything but time. Lot of fun tho. After the Forestry Service took over LBL from TVA, things changed some. Less getting off the main roads to get back in the woods, camping restricted to established camp grds, etc. At one time, one of, if not the best place in the state to hunt. Still be my 1st choice ( if I had one, LOL )
  6. Yep! That's the way the point system works. I haven't been in yrs. Got to the point where I couldn't drag one out if I killed it. my fav spot has always been Land Between The Lakes. Sometimes takes a while to get drawn, but great place to hunt. It's totally separate from the State drawing. Go online to their website & you an see how it works. Too late for this yr tho. Good luck with your hunt(s).
  7. You could have your local PD run it to see if it's been reported. Sometimes is, sometimes not. Worth a try, other than that you're pretty much on your own.
  8. Man, I feel your pain. Every time Windows 10 updates my desktop, it screws something up. For a company that's supposed to be the leader in software, Microsoft sucks.
  9. That's exactly what my intentions are. I want to pick one up, fondle it, see how it fits my eyes, etc. May help, may not. I won't order one without knowing what I'm getting. As far as the weapon/sight itself, all reports on the Walther forum have been good. The PPS M2 RSMc is the same as the PPS M2 without the red dot, so no issues there.
  10. Sorry, no mouthwatering recipes, but Happy Birthday anyway.
  11. I have no experience with the S&W Shield or the PPS M1, so I can't say. I do love the PPSM2, but not every shoe fits all feet. Reports thus far ( early ) are very favorable for the PPS M2 RMSc, so I may in the future get one, funds are also an issue right now, so..... BTW, the Shield RMSc sight is made by Shield in UK. This was milled down width wise to accommodate the PPS slim width. There is a regular width for other applications. One or the other may work on your S&W , if you want to give it a go. The RMSc also has a 4MOA dot. Unit stays on all the time & self adjusts for light. Battery life is approx. 2 - 3 yrs.
  12. Make that 2. I'd be the envy of the deer camp, LOL
  13. Man. how I would have loved to have gotten my hands on one of those in 'Nam. From what she said about ammo being lighter, "could be" the new polymer cased ammo that's being worked on, might make an appearance here. Whatever it is, it seems to be a few yrs. down the pike.
  14. I said that very same thing when ACA was first discussed. If you want to see what gov. involved/run is like, drop by the local VA hospital & watch a while, talk to the vets. You won't like what you see & hear. I've been doing it for 51 years. A national disgrace.

    Shoes???

Doug, get you a pair of Army combat boots. They have a proven track record. They come in two sizes, too big & too small. Plus, they're guaranteed not to slip, crack or peel, run down at the heel, or smell bad in wet weather. Well........maybe not.
  16. Walther has recently put this pistol on the market. I've had a hankering for this since David posted about it some months ago on Shooters Nation. The RMSc is a compact version of the Shield used on larger pistols. Walther mills the slide at the factory, comes complete with RMSc mounted, plus a plate to use if you need to remove the sight. Your standard iron sights will co-witness with the RMSc installed. The PPS M2 RMSc is the same pistol as the PPS M2. MSRP is $699, tho you can get it a few $$ less from a dealer. My problem is, haven't been able thus far to lay my hands on one. I want to see if this will work for me. My old eyes aren't what they used to be, as far as focusing on iron sights. Possibly the red dot will help, maybe not. Reviews on the Walther forum from those who have bought one, really like it. We'll see,......if I can get my paws on one for a few.
  17. Sierra has been my favorite for decades, now, hmmmmm.
  18. I've been using a Thumblers' rotary tumbler with stainless steel pins for a few years now. The only way to fly for me. Cleans inside & out, primer pocket, flash hole, just like new. As other have said, there are others out there, that may be just as good, maybe better. The process is the same. I gave my old Frankford vibrating tumbler away. Still use the separation bucket tho. Works fine. Try wet, you won't regret...............did I just say that?
  19. Welcome to Tenn & TGO. Enjoy your stay.
  20. Could come in handy. I saved it in bookmarks. Thks for posting.
  21. Yep, I've been running mine year around for a couple of yrs now. Never know what you're gonna get. It's fun waiting to see what shows up. I keep corn out & a mineral brick ( deer ,squirrels, rabbits, lick that thing).
  22. Yep, almost black I guess, hard to say at nite. Only one to show up thus far, also had a buck & doe. Buck is growing, but rather ugly right now. Had likely the same buck last yr., ugly as a mud fence, LOL. I keep shelled corn out in a box at nite. Also have coons, rabbits, squirrels, doves, possums, skunks. Busy place back there, only about a 1/3 acre of timber. They make good use of it.
  23. I've had this "gentleman" visit in the woods behind my house, several times, just nosing around, LOL. Wiley coyote
  24. Marsha!! According to an article in the Tennessean, Bredesen was "recruited" by Chuck Shumer. Not good.
