Beretta 92FS Smoking Deal! (449.99 Shipped from PSA)
CJDore replied to GlockSpock's topic in Handguns
Great price on a great pistol!!! -
I have shot Glocks and see no value in them. My Beretta 92fs and 2 Sigs have performed perfectly and each looks a lot better than any Glock sold today or yesterday.
-
I have 2 Sigs and 1 Beretta and have never had a fail with either. Today's guns are made to be reliable and Glocks certainly does not have the best anymore. You have to really love your Glocks to say that they are not plain Jane looking or even butt ugly. I can also get any part for any of my pistols with very little effort.
-
I have to ask this at the risk of offending many on this site. What is the reason that so many here seem to own and love the Glock brand? Is it because local LEOs are using these? To me they are the most God awful looking handgun and are roughly the same price as a Sig, Beretta, ETC. If I am going to shell out $600, it better not look bland as tupperware. I would buy a Sig, Beretta, H&K any and all times rather than buying a single generic looking Glock.

Question raised in carry permit class.....
CJDore replied to CJDore's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
My idea exactly. -
And if you are a dues paying member (usually $25-30/yr) you can even get a pass for a family member for free at check in........if not a member join!!!!! You also get a free magazine and free arms insurance.

So this question was raised in my carry permit class....... You are at a convenience store at 2 or 3 AM to get gas. As you are gassing up you notice a thug outside that appears to be casing you out for a possible score. You are carrying your weapon concealed. While this thug is casing you out is it alright to pull your shirt or coat back to reveal your weapon? Instructor thought that this would be threatening and would not be OK. I personally felt that this may defuse the upcoming confrontation. Thoughts?

My son and I just completed the class, went to DMV and got hand printed and are awaiting our lifetime permits. For $200 it is a virtual no brainer. Most of you probably blow more than that at Starbucks a year.

States Recognizing TN Permits (Reciprocity) With Links
CJDore replied to JohnC's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I only raised the VA issue because this state was not listed in the original list of reciprocal states at the top of this thread. -
States Recognizing TN Permits (Reciprocity) With Links
CJDore replied to JohnC's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Didn't VA reverse this policy after all other states refused to give reciprocity to VA citizens with Concealed Carry Permits? http://www.vsp.state.va.us/Firearms_Reciprocity.shtm -
Fascinating hypothesis but I have a hard time believing that the wolves caused all of the positive changes by themselves.

What's in your pocket most often?
CJDore replied to Handsome Rob's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
At one time in my life it was either a Kissing Crane or a Case knife. Not that Willis has turned me on to Protech knifes, I only carry my TR4. -
Pics please

You should be able to reform your fletchings with a little TLC. Without seeing a pic, I cannot tell you much about your arrow rest. FYI.....Something I discovered last year with guidance from Rob, was the Tennessee Classic. It is a traditional bow annual event in Chapmansboro, TN.......There you can make your own bow with guidance of some of best bow builders in US to guide you. You can also use your new bow to compete on course with 40 3D game targets. Camping is free and the fun is off the charts. http://www.twinoaksbowhunters.org/#!events/c2wwm
