HCP. GOT IT!

Recommended Posts

It has been exactly 3 weeks and it is here. I went to the HCP class at 2nd Amendment Gun Shop 12-28-08. To the drivers license station 12-30-08. Fingered printed 12-31-08. It took 3 weeks and I have got my HCP. Now strapping on my Ruger P90. I should have done this sooner. Thanks, gearyr.

I got my HCP yesterday as well. I did make the trip to wally world lastnight. No ammo and no nachos, but I did cruise through the ladies undergarments, does that count for anything? Hey I didn't call it a CCW can I take you up on that cold one?

Like Big Silver I got mine yesterday after exactly 1 month from filing my paper work. I also went for my inaugural nachos and ammo @ wallyworld and they too were out.

that counts for being a perv...real men who carry don't cruise through the ladies undergarments, they linger..... Congrats to all who recently received their permits. Walk tall, carry well, it will become routine after about a week. May the force be with you....

Congrats!:tough:

That's just how I started out 2002. Qualified in December 2001. HCP in January and even carried a Ruger P-90.

Now (like I found out) you'll probably want to start shopping for something slimmer, lighter, and smaller.

Those P-90s are like carrying an encyclopedia on your body, no matter where you put it.

A great pistol, no doubt, but a tad bit bulky.:D:cheers:

I have plenty of .45 ACP and 9mm ammo. I reload! But you can never have to much ammo on hand. I like my Ruger P90. But I also have a Ruger P89 that I will carry to. But it is about as heavy as the P90. The 9mm holds 15+1 in the chamber. Bought some Winchester 9mm 147 grain SXT for my carry rounds. I would like to buy a compact 9mm pistol. But I work at Bridgestone Tire Plant in LaVergne, TN. We have had 1 layoff in Dec. That got 149 production workers. They won"t be back. As of yesterday, the company will be having another layoff starting March. That will get 294 more of us. But I should be ok. I have been there 31 years. It will get down to, about 500 workers left. My plant wide ranking is 132. You guys need to go out and buy more of the tires we make! So I will stick with my Ruger P89 &P90 for right now. gearyr
