⚠️ Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers ⚠️

This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO.

  • Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with.   Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete.  Your experience will help others.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

  • Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO.  Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye.

Most people that have 10/22s tend to keep them.  This is the least expensive 10/22 I could find:

That’s the cheapest price I’ve seen on a 10/22 lately. Before this  I saw them at Walmart for $288

If you needed something a bit cheaper, Winchester Wildcat is very similar to the 10/22, a bit lighter and handier, takes 10/22 mags, and has a rail for an optic built in. I've seen them at Academy for $230ish and you wouldn't need to pay shipping/transfer fees. Haven't had the chance to shoot one but seems to be reliable from what reviews I've seen.

I don't think it takes all the 10/22 parts though if you/he were looking to upgrade it with all the fancy bits.

Thanks guys for all the information. I think Vince is hooked on my Green Mountain/Volquartzen model. LOL! But not letting it go. Built and given to me by my late b-i-l. The same goes for my dolomite model. Just too good to lose.

In reverse order, TSG. Thanks, it might be my fallback on this.

jeff...I've bought from locked&loaded, they are gtg people. Also a runner up.

AnotherMike, I like the takedown model myself. lol. But not as a giveaway rifle!

biilmeek, again, I know of locked&loaded. Good people. Thanks for reminding me.

And first is last, Ntrain2k, thanks, but that's one I'd buy for myself just to knock around with.

Thanks all. I got some thinking to do.

If Vince is hooked on a custom build, maybe you aught to just gift him a receiver and let him build a complete gun from there.   I had just about as much fun deciding on the parts and building the 10/22s as I do shooting them.  I have one that I should call "my significant other" considering the damage it did to my bank account.  But the 10/22 I treasure the most is a very light rifle build.  I think I "only" have about a grand in this one:

Cheapest I’ve seen in a bit.

No tax outside of KY, free shipping and no CC fees. $300 w/ a transfer and background. Cheapest I’ve seen. Friend called me and wanted to sell me one and I threw out a price of $250 because it had a ton of rounds through it, he wanted $350 for one with a cheap scope and 500 rounds of mixed .22lr. He said he quoted off gunjoker $310 w/ no scope. Told him I wish I could help but we couldn’t get to a middle ground.

Hope this helps if you haven’t already purchased.
