I have a 12.7 LWRC 6.8 spc Pistol that I want to put a stock on,
What is the fastest and best way to do this through the NFA?

Do an electronic form 1, send in the $200 tax and fingerprint cards (you can do those for yourself at home). The electronic form 1 is super easy.

I've done this several times.

I have always down Eform1s with my trust.  After setting up a silencershop account for some cans, I decided to try them for a SBS.  It was stupid fast and easy.  I will only use them for form1s from here on out!

So if I do this, once they approve me does the stamp come to my house then all is good?

On an Eform, you do not get a physical stamp mailed to your house.  They will email you an approval with a copy of the stamp on the form.  Once you get the approved form 1, then you can put your stock on there.  Keep a copy of the form with the SBR.

You still have to engrave your name, or trust name on the lower right?

Yes.

This article is spot-on.  It kind of sucks that it's from Silencer Central since they are currently getting evicerated by the 2A community over their stance on the Hearing Protection Act, but it's still good info.

Thought so, I was surprised they didn't make me do that on the four I had done when the ATF was trying to do their brace rule.

There's no requirement to show evidence that you engraved the item.  You just get railroaded for it if the ATF ever finds out and prosecutes you.  Kind of like how the IRS does that if your math doesn't match their math when you pay taxes.

To note, you can engrave something for NFA purposes and then never actually use it for NFA purposes and there is no harm, no foul.  It doesn't become an NFA item until it is configured as one and then it has to be registered, engraved, blah blah blah.

If we don't get rid of the NFA during this Trump Administration, we as gun owners will be proven to be morons.

I see no chance they get rid of the NFA, they screwed up the Hearing Protection and Short Act already.  Instead of taking silencers and SBRs out of the NFA, they are writing it up as no tax on those items, but everything else stays.

I don't want to compromise on any of it, but if we got instant background checks like we do with firearms, and no-cost or low-cost tax stamps, it would be a step in the right direction.  I'd have a ####load more suppressors if I could buy one and go home with it the same day.
