Harper's Catfish

Just a short drive north of the great state of Tennessee via 31-E lies the small town of Scottsville Kentucky. Scottsville is home to what I believe is the world's greatest catfish restuarant. It's a bit off the main road, but anyone within 100 miles of there will gladly point you in the right direction. If you've never tried it, it will surely be worth your drive. Don't waste the effort of dressing up, as this isn't a very fancy place, but I go to eat great food and not to bask in ambiance. I'm in no way affialiated with this restuarant, but I thought you'd like to try it. I'm sure others here can vouch for it's fine cuisine as well.

Fried or broiled?.I like the way catfish is cooked in the Deep South which is smothered with various spices and broiled with a light crust on top.Way better than fried.

i am originally from Glasgow KY and it is a great place to eat if you are in to catfish. All you can eat fish is the menu. Rarely people only finish 1 plate. You will not get up hungry from Harpers.

I have ate there several times and i have been trying to get my wife up there and we were riding our bikes in that area and she said she was hungry so I suggested we go to Harpers. I pull in the driveway and she stops at the entrance, she did not want to ride in the gravel.

So we went to E. G. Dumplings in Scottsville. It was as good as Harpers IMHO.

Same here. Harper's has the best catfish ever! I live in Castalian Springs, TN. 5 miles out of Gallatin, TN. We have been going to Harper's for over 20 years. When we have a craving for fried catfish, we go up to Harper's. About a 25 minute drive from the house. gearyr
