glock loading problem

i have never had any problem with any of my glocks....today i had 3 jams. one in my 23 from old hollow point ammo and 2 in my 27 with federal FMJ target ammo. never before had this problem and i'm surprised to have 3 in one day. in the 27 they both seemed to be around the 6-7 shot, i wonder if it has something to do with the mag, although the spring seems to be strong. both guns were cleaned last week so i know it wasn't due to dirt. hmmm

I have only had one in my G23, although it was at the range and was really easy to clear, I couldn't imagine if that would happen in a sticky situation. Mine was with the Federal ammo too. IDK...

Since you said that it has been happening around the 6th or 7th round, I would think that it has to do with the mag spring. I doubt a pistol that has served you well would all of a sudden stop working as well unless a spring is worn out. Does it do it on both mags?

Same thing happened to me yesterday with my 27. It was also around 6 or 7 rounds with a full size 15 round mag. It didn't have any problems with any of the other mags. I'm betting mag spring is the culprit. I've had that mag fully loaded sitting on a shelf for a long time.

Common myth. Leaving them loaded doesn't affect them. It's the cycling between compressed and uncompressed that fatigues a spring over time.

It's Bush's fault.

It could be the mag spring so were you able to duplicate the problem? Or was it a one time thing. Of course since it happened on the same day on 2 different Glocks it could be a conspiracy or could be a loose screw on the triggers....

Clean the mags !!!! You'd be surprised the number of guys who think the mag spring has gotten weak, instead it's gunk built up in the mag. Check your manual, it tells you to disassemble the mags and clean them.
