i was thinking of getting one but they charge you $10 more a month for the 4G and the closest place to get it is Atlanta. Why pay for something that they will not give you?

The 4 g and tethering are add ons. You do not have to pay for them if you do not use them

4G will be in Nashville this Summer. I have a cousin that works for Sprint in Kansas City. He has 4G at his house and gets 5mbs. Pretty incredible if you ask me!! That's one way to give Comcast and AT&T the boot!

i had unlimited plan since day one it was introduced.

so to me it was just a phone upgrade.

i just did a 3G speed test-- 1113kbps down and 706kbps up.

so speed is more than i need for a phone use.

at home i have Comcast Cable Internet. so 4G will not replace that. i need more than 5mb down.

right now i stream a twit live show that takes 1MB. HD videos and Movies need a lot

other PC kids are running youtube videos and flash games.

KahrMan,

I believe you are half correct.

There is a $10.00 per month "Premium Data Add-On" to whatever plan you are on, even if you are not in a 4G area.

The "Mobile Hot Spot Capability" is an extra $29.99 per month that is optional.

There is 4G in Donelson, Hermitage, Brentwood, Franklin, MBoro...at least on I24. It isn't "live" yet...but it's dang fast.

Yes...I stood in line Friday to get my Evo...and I LOVE it

Got mine on Friday and I have been wearing that battery out. Just put the power widget on and been turning off wi-fi and gps and that has help a lot. This is my first droid and it's the ;) x2.

don't be discouraged with a battery.

every phone i had before, i bought multiple battery.

and my first cell phone i had was in 1994

my Samsung Instinct i had 2 extra battery. 0ne in the car one in the house.

and i had USB charging cable in the car and one at home.

so i newer run out a juice becouse i use my cell phone a lot.

on my HTC Evo,i used more than 500MB data and i talked a lot on it and my battery didnt go below 50%.

like right now for example. i was out for a hour

soon i came home im used to plug my phone to charge.

its my habit to do so

I got/have an Instinct and their battery went fast also. It's probably me, 12hr shift with sit down time and no internet. I would like a second battery but this body glove case is hard to get off/on so I think a battery with longer usage would be better. But I REALLY like this phone:D. Maybe I could get by with another cord for charging:)
