OK, my wife is constantly commenting on my cultural illiteracy, but what's all this stuff with Zombies all about lately? A friend dressed up for Halloween as a "Zombie Hunter" with all the regalia but what's this all about for us old farts?

You aren't in the old fart club yet - not even in the lobby, pilgrim.

With many many signs pointing toward a US and/or world meltdown scenario, the interest in zombies keeps increasing.

Why? Because we know that in SHTF and especially EOTWAWKI situations, there will be zombies. Always.

Great reads. Ream 'em, learn from 'em live by them.

Although I do have a complaint about the Survival Guide and the harsh words Mr. Brooks has against my beloved AR, especially since everyone knows that the quintessential zombie killing device is an AR with a RDS and White light. Anyway I just finished World War Z and was surprised about the many obscure references if you pay attention. Good read but what else would you expect from the son of the man who brought us Blazin Saddles.

No, Survivors has yet to be released--with the passing of Z. A. Recht they had to find a stand-in author to finish the book. Hopefully he'll have it pushed out soon.

Here it is:

Personally, I liked the older cover better, but it isn't in print anymore:

Oh, okay, thanks..that site is confusing, as it doesn't even mention "Survivors", and all the buying links from Thunder and Ashes show "pre-order" or "not yet released".

But you can get it off half.com.

Yeah, I checked it out on half.com, and the original issue has obviously become big time collector's item, looking at some of the prices.
