I bought one last October. Quite nice, especially after an action tuning and a set of Hogue soft rubber grips. I shoot in Knoxville every week, PM me if you want to meet and check it out. I should have a new Ruger SR22 Pistol tomorrow. Be glad to bring it along with the 101.

Looks like they've reinvented the Security Six frame, striking resemblance.

It's the same SP101 frame we've been seeing for some time now. It looks a bit different with a 4.20" barrel is all. Word is they went with that length to allow it to be sold in Canada without having to do a special run just for that market.

Yeah, I want one bad but $650? Really? For a .22? I mean I'm sure it's nice, and it does take alot of metal to build that frame, but come on. IMHO that's just crazy, I would love to see a blued finish for around<$400.

Oh well, I'm just jealous cause I won't be getting one.

Geez, I think I paid $185 for my Security Six back in 1978.

I just ran that number through an inflation calculator, here's what I got (tack on the extra $39 for inflation in just the last 2 years):

What cost $185.00 in 1978 would cost $611.32 in 2010.

I'm confused...??

I am in the process of looking for a 22 pistol, not a revolver, and came across one of these. It is a new gun at a online dealer for $539. Seems like it would be an indestructible 22 revolver.

I've been thinking about a 22 Revolver for a few weeks and the Taurus 94 has caught my eye. Haven't held one yet though. I would want a SS 4", sort of the .22 version of my 686.

I've owned one. For what it was it functioned quite nicely. One thing to keep in mind: the DA trigger is going to be long and stiff, and there isn't really anything that can be done about it. SA is fine though.
