What do you carry?

Sorry I've been away for awhile. Fantastic! I've got a large body structure and it's extremely easy to conceal. Some would call me crazy, but I feel it's easier to conceal a my full-sized gun over some of my compacts like the Beretta Nano.

I have a big frame too (read fat and working on getting my size down). I picked up a bladetech IWB this weekend and its not too bad on my muffin top, but OWB is going to be my method for the G22 until I can get back to my fighting weight. I can conceal the bersa and lc9 so easily.

All depends on what I'm wearing/where I'm going/ how concealed I want to be. I'm carrying a Glock 17 today because it's cold enough for a sport coat outside. I carry a baby Glock most of the time (often in a pocket holster) in the summer and a P3AT for excercising or situations where I really don't want to print.

I have shot and handled guns since I was 9, I have had good pistols jam for many reasons, never a revolver though. Even if you have a FTF just pull the trigger again and your GTG.

Ruger SR9 full size and an extra mag for me.

I no longer usually carry a back-up gun on my person when I have the SR9. At one time I always carried it in a belly band that kept it close to my body and non-printing. I no longer worry much about printing and have started using an OWB holster for it much more often, I have several of those to pick from and one of my favorites is one that East_TN_Patriot made for me. The man does excellent work IMHO.

At times when the Ruger is just too big I will carry two 380's with extra mags, those are a Bersa Thunder, Walther PPK and a Sig238, two of those three is my "lightweight" load out. I use the belly band for those along with IWB, OWB and pocket holsters for them depending on my mood. If all I have on me is a 380 I will have two of them and one or two extra mags for each.

Also I most always have a Ruger SP-101 in my vehicle along with two speed loaders all loaded with 38+P defensive ammo. I still cant handle the SP with 357 loads very well so I dont keep it loaded with them. I do still keep working on shooting 357's when I go to the range, one day I might even get it right.

M&P 40 full size in a Don Hume (I picked up from a gun show for cheap). After losing 30 pounds of beer weight, it's heading to the nightstand and looking for something in a compact. Trying to figure out what to replace it with is making my head spin. Been looking around online for weeks now. Window shopping tomorrow.

Since changing jobs and attire, during the week I am carrying my SP101 again in a High Noon Hidden Ally (AIWB) Weekends and casual wear it's a CZ75B in a N82 (nate squared) Tactical (also AIWB).

I travel extensively throughout TN / AL, so I do have the CZ on hand with a few extra mags.

I am in the hunt for the perfect compact semi to replace the SP, just more comfortable with more rounds and faster reload if necessary...
