The "US" Knife

Recommended Posts

Wondering how many of you have had or have one of these. It ain't real tactical, but it's a keeper. Can't believe I never bought one when I was in the service!

1979 Camillus U.S. Military Utility Knife (AKA The Demo Knife)

I got this one off EBAY for $23.50, shipped. It's obviously used, but still in great condition, with good snap to the blades, for a 33 year old pocket knife and sharpened right up, when I broke out the stones. Needs a bit more cleaning, which I will do this weekend. I think this one will be in my EDC rotation along with the Opinel No.9 and the Svord Peasant. I carry the Kershaw Clash everyday as well.

When I was on active duty back in the early 80s those were outlawed in the Marine Air Wings. I always wanted one and then some brainiac tried to tighten a lug on a fuse block with the screwdriver blade of on.The dummy failed to secure the power first and it 480v secured him. Right into the grave. So they banned them.

I think we called them t38s but im not sure.

Neat knife.

Been looking for one, but I haven't found one for the price you stated. Good deal!

There are probably 20 or 30 on Ebay at any given time. Some are junk and some are brand new. Then there are some with just stupid prices. Several have buy it now prices of over $60. One is at $122. Obviously those are selling very well. The brand new ones are selling for $39.95. I'm trying to work a deal on a new one now from another source.
