i would have to say 28 days later but if i had another choice it would be the I am Legend creatures, which I think neither are actual zombies. 28 days later is some sort of rage virus and Legend some sort of mutation from a vacine, Both are SCARY as hell and I wouldnt want to cross their paths. LOL

i feel like one thing that is being forgotten is that the 28 days later zombies dont have to be shot in the head like the "regular zombies" you see in movies personally i would be more afraid of the zombie that i HAVE to shoot in the head, smaller targets suck when you are in a hurry

Personally, I don't care which is worse. If I ever see anything of the sort on the street, I will know the world is ending. It's then my passion to stay alive to see that world "end" come.........if possible of course. :surrender:

Has anybody seen Carl? Did you notice that someone usually dies right after Carl goes missing? I always perk up when Carl goes missing!

What scares me about the 28-days later zombies is their speed. True 'undead' zombies would freak me out more for the sheer wrongness of them. At least the 28-Days zombies are living creatures, but they would pose far more of a problem.

Either way, I plan on waiting for the 28-days style to starve to death and die or the undead ones to rot away; avoiding both at all costs.

However, if they tried to solve the problem with nukes like in 'Day to Day Armageddon', the radiation would kill what causes decomposition and you'd have a dead zombie, that does not decompose, and is radioactive. That would be a bummer.

At least the traditional zombies are slow enough that head shots are feasable. In fact, I think a running rager would be harder to hit anwhere than a stumbling WD-type would be to hit in the head.

At least the rage "zombies" can bleed out from a wound. Plus, they need oxygen, so tear gas or worse would work. They can be poisoned or even crippled with booby traps and finished off later. Still, they're scary as hell, because they feel no pain, can run and climb, and solve rudimentary problems. At least there are more conventional means to kill them.

One more thing...

Something interesting from World War Z popped into my head. Zombies get trapped in cars, since they're too stupid to unbuckle seat belts or roll down windows enough to crawl out or open car doors. That means you could be stumbling across trapped zombies every time you open a door that has been shut for a while.

I'm gonna go with the 28 Days Later zombies (or living infected). At least there they are subject to all the same perils as humans, to include sleep, food, water and oxygen. In such a scenario you could easily wait out the initial infection by surviving only a week before the vast majority are either dead or immobile. After that your freedom of movement will allow for foraging and such. After a month or two it should all be over.

If it were the living dead zombies, well, in that case the infection is never over and you have to deal with the logistics of getting from here to the frozen north. That would require waiting until the winter and hoping to survive the elements on the way there. No way would I stay south of a certain latitude if the zombies were an indefinite problem, and I really, really hate cold weather.

So, infected living zombies are the way I would go.

Guess you haven't seen the sequel, 28 Weeks Later. Asymptomatic carriers!

Good point indeed. All the more reason to have property with a mote; those zombies can drown. Maybe some sharks with freakin' laser beams just for good measure.
