AR Mag Madness?!?!

Recommended Posts

A co-worker paid $100 for a Colt AR mag from CTD last week.

Yea.  They are paying $30-40 for mags.  That's actually not as obscene.  I paid $20 for a few a couple weeks ago.  A couple months ago I paid $12 each.  I'd buy more at $20 each right now.

I just got a dozen 30 rd steel ar mags from Mako Group.  Well made, nice finish ( a little shiny for my taste, but nice), anti-tilt followers.

I can't get them to seat with 30 loaded, on a closed bolt.  With 28, they seat with a slap to the mag.  Seat fine with open bolt, no rattle, no slop.  Drop free.

Less than 20 a pop.

I won't post a link, but google is your friend.  I have no connection with them other than having ordered mags.  The really nice thing about these is that they are in stock and shipping daily.

This has been a public service announcement from Starship Hulls LTD and Garands-R-Us.

I think it's stupid to pay more than they were marked 3 weeks ago[/quote]I see your point, but Mapco and Kroger may diasgree with that seeing as how gas and food prices fluctuate daily/weekly.

I would love to buy Pmags for $14 like I did before CT but even then, some places had a regular price of $20. To me, is a Pmag worth a $20 bill? Yep. So if I needed a couple extra at $30 or $40 now, I would pay it, just wouldn't smile quite so big. That being said, I would NOTpay $85 and up as some have lately, I will leave that to the rich, needy, or dumb, whichever describes the buyer.

I have a handfull of slightly used 30 round AR mags that I can part with. Im not trying to make 1000's of dollars but I am asking $12.00 each

You might want to get a benefactor status before you try to make an ad like this and if you are trying to sell Uncle Sam's mags ... that's illegal and not welcome here.

I watched a Gunbroker listing a couple weeks ago for 100 PMags go for $4700 and thought Wow!  That's almost a 400% increase in less than 1 month.  We could have bought them from Brownells during their 10 for $99 sale before Christmas.

If I knew in advance I would have been rich off the stock market, lotto, knowing where all the gold and oil is at as well, etc.

Then it wouldn't bother me what a mag cost, everything I own would be belt fed and bought before 1986. :yuck:
