Good Morning all, I'm new to the forum and a new gun owner having just bought my first firearm this past Friday.  

 

On the rare opportunities I've had I always enjoyed shooting, but guns were never a big part of my life.  After some recent events, particularly the incident in Webster New York I was feeling a little more vulnerable than I wanted to.

 

The wife and I did some research, visited some gun shops and saw something we liked (a ruger p95)  We went to the Montgomery County Shooting Complex, rented one and decided we liked it as much as we thought so we purchased one.  In the coming months we will be spending lots of time at the Montgomery County Shooting Complex so perhaps we'll see some of the locals from this forum there, then we'll both be getting our Concealed Carry permits and expanding our collection (We can't both carry the same gun at the same time now can we).

 

It's unfortunate that I chose to purchase a gun right when it seems all the ammo on the shelves everywhere has disappeared, but I'm looking into reloading to minimize the effect there.


Well just wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself.  For those of you involved in reloading please stop by the ammo and reloading forum, I'll be posting a topic there in a few minutes.
