Why Benghazi May Finally Have Legs

I agree with you, Worriedman.

We all assume that the press is somehow a full, participating partner in this charade.  That takes more than just ideological alignment.  That also takes willingness, foresight, patience and some manner of intelligence.  I would posit that while there are some individual reporters or people working for the media that have all of those characteristics, the organizations for which they work are no where near as adept.  To paraphrase an old friend, "they're too stupid to come up with that by themselves."

I'd guess we still have some ground to cover, but this incident may prove damning.  Once the patsy realizes that they're being played, they become unpredictable and dangerous to the overall mission.

I think the media is getting pressure from other parts of the Democrat Party than Media Matters or Center for American

Progress, for a change, because the party is embarking on some serious damage control. So far, though, the media

reporting is only nibbling around the edge to try to make themselves sound credible without being credible.

Maureen Dowd(hack at the NY Times) did only that yesterday on her column. She didn't say anything of substance,

other than her usual arrogant writing style. Another member of the media, yesterday, beat around the bush saying

things like comparing the use of the words "terrorism" and terrorist" trying to separate what the president said from the

beginning of the Benghazi event from how his network reported, trying to make him sound like some kind of hero. They

don't really want to back away from supporting the president, but are being forced to, just for credibility purposes.

I agree that they are too dumb to know how to write a story, but they have gotten propaganda down pat.
