Murfreesboro Gun Show this weekend

Recommended Posts

$20 a brick may be gone, but $70-$90 a brick is not acceptable. Yes, I saw a 500 round box (Federal blue box if I remember correctly) for $90.

And as I mentioned, $33 for a pound of powder, when literally the next table 10 feet over same powder was priced at $23?? It is up to the seller/vendor to decide prices, and most of them today were fair but some people still have their prices jacked up outrageously.

Anyways, it was a decent gun show and I enjoyed wasting a couple of hours walking around looking at stuff.

I didn't see David's booth. A bummer as I was finally going to stock up. There were 3-4 booths selling reloading supplies. One was sky high on everything and pretty pushy... he only had one thing I wanted, and kept trying to get me to buy stuff for calibers I don't even load for!

I figured I just wasn't going to spend the wad in my pocket, but I then I saw a booth in the back corner with lots of powders. He had all three Ramshot powders I wanted to try, and for $4/lb less than pushy dude. I also got a veritable butt-load of .44 mag bullets, and he made me a great package deal. He definitely won me over. Stop by and see Greg at the Reloading Den.

Glad you found some of your needed items, gotta love a gun show! I'll hold off until I can buy from David though, He took good care of me before and when things were hard to get so I reckon I will support him now when things are coming back around.

I completely understand that! I've never had the opportunity to meet the Great David of Reloadingshire yet, just made a fair purchase from someone running his booth in his stead at a Nashville show last year. So, though I've tried, I really have no sworn allegiance yet. :-)

I was very happy with how Greg treated me, and he says he has somebody else that works with him that lives within a few minutes of my place. That may come in handy!

Aaahhhhhh!!!!! Thread drift!!!!

Um.. uh... erm.... ahhh.... the Murfreesboro show was fun! Saw some buddies, fondled some firearms, shoulda' bought a T shirt.

Was nice to see some more surplus stuff getting back into the mix on the tables.  Lots of slings, bayonets, stocks, and mags.  Saw a stack of very new looking russian 30 round ak mags for $25/ea and russian 40 rounders for $30/ea.  Not pre panic pricing I know but not romanian or chinese either.  Picked up a mosin accessory kit for $20 otd.  Found a table selling .223 Wolf 55gr for .28/rd - jumped on two cases.  Most surplus ammo cans were at $10 this time around - picked up another good looking one.

The dealer with the Century PSL's still had two left from the last show.  He's still stealing two of the mags from the deal but the PSL's look nice and they do have the non-pinned breaks if anyone was looking for a PSL.

No beef jerky though

Does this mean there is no one from David's camp at the Boro show? I need to grab a thing or two but don't want to pay admission only to get inside and find out that I have to drive all the way to his house this week anyways..

David's in Birmingham, Sam's in Louisville and I am in Jackson. Sorry.

Do you recall the price on the PSL's ?

I believe there were $999 w/ 2 mags.  Extra mags (the ones they took out of the original purchase from century) were $50/ea.

Same dealer had a ton of beat up Mosins and a couple of Suomi's too.
