"Stand down" <-- This sounds familiar

The board that oversees the U.S. Capitol Police has opened an investigation into whether a tactical team of officers that was one of the first on the scene during the Washington Navy Yard shooting was ordered to stand down.

The foreign news outlets usually do a better job in reporting American news than the domestic outlets, by a large margin.

Stories that break faster over here are usually for the sycophantic Obama lovers. Disappointing, also.

If they were first on the scene who ordered them to “stand down”?

Good question. One that I doubt we'll hear the answer to. My guess is some nut like Valerie Jarrett,

or another, who had no business getting involved. Sometimes, it's useful for the tools to be used correctly.

The BBC has more real reporters on our streets than our own news medias do is why they get it first. Their reporters are also not afraid to ask the important questions that need asking. They want to know the truth and all except Fox is only interested in protecting that guy and his family living in we the peoples white house.............jmho

I'll wait till all the information is compiled, but from what i have gathered so far at some point early in police response it transitioned from an Active shooter to a barricaded subject.  Response protocols change at that time.

This is a big if, but If there were other units on scene and the shooter was contained Ie barricaded himself in, then there is nothing necessarily wrong with standing down the CERT guys so that the can be sent to other areas of the capital being placed on lock-down.

Remember CERT was one of the first units on scene.  What exactly does one of the first units there mean.  We do not know who else was already there or what there capabilities were.
