This an ongoing thing in the murfreesboro area. A buddy at work uncle got hit for 75+ guns while he was gone to florida fishing. He had a name brand "good" safe, they peeled the door back. I'm unsure how they did it but the sheriff's department told him this was one of many recently Edited by gomer pyle

No doubt someone knew he had them and had access. Couldn't have happened with a quality safe unless the thief knew the combo.

There isn't a safe made that you can move into your house that can't be gotten into by a pro given some time and the proper tools. That is why a safe is only a last line of defense. Combined with a correctly installed and armed alarm and decent police response time it can prevent a theft, but just the safe is not very secure by itself.

I hate that for the owner.  I know that a safe is not 100% safe, just watch some of the videos on Youtube.  I did finally get peace of mind over a year ago, a rider from State Farm in the amount of my collection less the NRA coverage.  That is the only way to go.  I do have several pieces that can not be replaced due to sentimental value!
