NO guns allowed but still 28 dead

Recommended Posts

"NO GUNS ALLOWED" simply means that law-abiding citizens can't carry their firearms. Criminals, though... no problem!

I understand that criminals will always have guns, I was simply pointing out that China has the type of gun control that Anti gunners want but yet mass murders still happen.  You are not allowed any semi or full auto rifle, I can't find anything about bolt or single shot rifles. You can only own a gun for sporting(rarely given), Hunting or a State issued firearm can be given in extreme cases. Most guns are owned by people in Rural areas for hunting food.

BEIJING (AP) -- More than 10 knife-wielding attackers slashed people at a train station in a southwestern city in what authorities called a terrorist attack by ethnic separatists in western China, and police fatally shot four of the assailants, leaving 33 people dead and 130 others wounded, state media said.

But, 4 were stopped from their murderous rampage by being shot by police with guns.
Too bad there wern't more guns in the hands of citizens there. Edited by K191145

exactly how I feel about it. I feel if one citizen shot one of those thugs it would have saved lives.

Frequent outbreaks of violence have beset Xinjiang, a resource-rich area where the arrival of waves of Han Chinese people over the decades has fueled tensions with the Uyghurs, a Turkic-speaking, predominantly Muslim ethnic group.

So were the Muslims the attackers or the victims?

Yea that's exactly what they will say, just come back at them and say, if they banned Muslims then none of them would have died.

Where are the mayors against illegal knives when you need them???

Seems to me this only proves one thing...that crazy people and/or those who want to use terror to get their way will find a way to do it. If this had happened at a shopping mall in the U.S. you would probably hear the anti-gun crazies boasting about how the death tool would be higher had these killers been using guns; which might even be true.  Of course, what they will never say and which could be equally true is that a few good, decent people with arms might have saved some or many of these lives.

Wonder what the carnage would have been if each of the ten had used a pressure cooker?
