graycrait - I saw one a week ago in a Gallatin, TN pawn shop but it wasn't a .22.  I think it was a .380.

I had one in .45 some years ago, neat piece of steel.  But I am interested in .22LR mouse gun oddities.  Sterling, Steel City Double Deuce, etc.  I'm going to go on a slow .22LR mouse gun binge.

Ahhh, you have been seriously bitten by the mousegun bug! [emoji6] It is an incurable disease that I succumbed to about 5 years ago. My disease is more serious though because I had to seek out both .22LR and .25acp pistols and revolvers.

How cool, I learned something new today. I never knew AMT made a backup in 22 long rifle. I have always like the AMT backups even though I have never owned one.

Had a retired detective buddy tell me about these. He carried one as a backup in .45 I think. He really liked them. Good luck with your search.

They're unpleasant to shoot, have near non existent sights and have a heel clip mag release...but in their heyday were the go to deep cover pistol. I'm sure the .22LR BU is more pleasant to shoot but aside from its curiosity or novelty have no real feelings regarding it.

Heck, I remember shooting Detonic's and the ASP thinking them to be cool but not Colt's and such. If I'd purchased and stored some of them then....

That one appears to have a regular thumb mag release.
