Can I get pictures of the Remington please?
-
I know I should get a 5 foot, but I'm in denial and want a 6 foot.
-
It really bad now. It's been welded ut a few times. I planned on using it for a year and upgrading it. I needed one now kind of thing. That was 8 years ago. I think the gear box is the only thing not damaged. It does need a seal.

Never been done before, pre 1999 newer version 2024, I'm the yellow one

It’s a shame you’re not closer to Knoxville… -
depending how beat up your bush hog is you could replace the gear box on it I work in manufacturing and witnessed one of my workers do the same thing, on our small fields, I bought a new 4' BH from TSC for 2k but I could have bought a gear box for 350.

i'm glad everything worked out as well as could be expected. Don't mean to laugh at you, but you tell a pretty good little story. I've been on the receiving end of that vethe same come apart. At eighteen years old, it'll make you think twice about living longer.

It's not the tractor hp but the hp at the pto. The general rule of thumb is 5 PTO hp per foot of rotary cutter. So a 6 footer calls for 30 PTO hp or better. I think a 6 foot would be a little much for anything under a 30 hp @ the pto. I think sticking to a 5 foot would be better on your tractor. Don't forget about the extra weight when moving up in size. A couple of hundred extra pounds hanging on your 3 point.

Bump. Lowered price to 1500. Along open to selling without the red dot. -
I'm thinking a 6-foot would be too much. I had a 35 hp with a 4-foot King Cutter and it was great, but in really tough stuff it would start bogging down. Maybe if you're only cutting grass it would work, but for serious hogging, I'm skeptical. Or -- here's an idea -- time to buy a bigger tractor. Cheers, Whisper

They are a good one too. Was issued a Model 10 before the Model 64.

+100 on that. In all the years and all the shooting of all the wheel guns, my absolute favorite revolver is the S&W Model 18 .22LR. I give mine full credit for teaching me how to properly shoot a DA revolver. Mine goes along on just about every range trip.

So I have a pos 5 foot bush hog I was using to cut around a downed tree from the storms. The bush hog experienced a sudden unintentional disassembly. Half of one blade broke in half and exited reality. I was really glad it was the bush hog. I thought I was having a stroke. Sudden double vision and violent shaking everywhere. 1st thought was I gotta let the kids try this, but on second thought, it probably wouldn't get me father of the year. So 29 hp kubota. Just cutting grass. Think a 6 foot would run okay or do I need to stick to a 5 foot?
