  3. I finally got a mostly rainless Saturday to get my Nocturne back out to the range today. After discussing it with @NoBanStan, I think my initial issues might be over after more break-in time. I haven't bought many guns that needed a break-in period, but I don't know what else to attribute this to. Today I loaded all 5 mags 6 times each with 10 rounds. One mag out of 5 held the slide open with one round left, but it only happened once. It was one of the two that had issues last time, but since it only did it once and only on the first time I loaded that mag, I'm fine leaving it marked as "range-only". I didn't even clean the gun from the last time out, so I'm kind of glad to see it run so good. I even tossed in a box of that terrible Monarch ammo again. The first round needed 2 hammer drops to fire, but the rest shot just fine. I'm even getting the hang of picking up the red dot on presentation and during follow-up shots. I wasn't sure I'd ever get to that point. Nothing like 30 mag changes with 9 follow-up shots each, I guess. So, I'm feeling pretty good about carrying this one, finally.

  9. Hi Will, I agree with your point. Just a clarification regarding Baby Face Nelson was shot 17 times is a misquote from the press due to a misunderstanding of the statement from J. Edgar Hoover stating "seven to ten wounds" to Nelson's body. In reality, Nelson received one .45 slug from an FBI agent Crowley’s machine gun to his lower abdomen that would eventually kill Nelson later that evening. Nelson also received 8 buckshot pellets to his legs by FBI agent Hollis. Unfortunately, both FBI agents were killed. Agent Crowley died at the hospital from his wounds and agent Hollis died at the shootout scene when he was shot in the head by Baby Face Nelson. The details of the shootout event are at the link below. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_Face_Nelson#Death

  13. Up for sale my Walther PPK (not PPK /S) .380 ACP in Stainless Steel. I’ve owned it for several years and I’m the second owner. This is a great shooter, or alternatively, a collector’s piece. Manufactured in the 1980’s by Interarms of Alexandria VA, considered the premier USA producer of this particular firearm · Complete with original vinyl case. Has some tearing at the hinge · All original papers including the “proof” target paper · 3 magazines all OEM. 2 with pinky extensions · My estimate of appearance is 95% · Included Galco slide holster. (never used) · Set of aftermarket rosewood grips. I purchased, and immediately concluded that the black plastic originals looked better. But they are yours. I’ve shot this very little during the years I’ve owned it. Excellent pistol with a great history. I’d mention the James Bond thing, however I’m sure I’ll get called out for it since he never actually owned one in .380 ACP. But I threw it in there anyway Asking $750.00 Not looking for trades, however, I would consider revolvers in .357 or .44 Mag. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance for an established TGO member. TN ID Required. HCP even better. No exceptions. Thanks for looking!
