  2. Welcome to the forum and to TN. I’m assuming by “relocate” and the wording of your question that you’re coming from out of state. Unfortunately, you’re probably right about a lack of ranges outside of the major population areas (Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga). People in the rural areas are probably shooting on their own land, or a family member’s or friend’s. If there’s a wildlife management area out that way, you may be allowed to shoot there. You’ll need to research that. Hopefully someone familiar with that area will chime in. There may be a local hunting club that has a range nearby. Those may or may not turn up in a google search. You might try posting your question in the “Hunting and Fishing” section of the forum, too.
  3. Evening All, Family looking to relocate to Parsons/Decaturville area. Looks to be a lack of gun ranges/gun clubs in the general area. This a Tennessee thing? Most folks just shoot on private land? Any recommendations? Seems like Natchez State Park has a range. Don’t mind joining a club. Thanks! Regards,, Steve
  4. That is a bit reassuring. Thanks.

  6. No secret I'm a Taurus fan. Currently have three in 45ACP, one 357 mag revolver, one 9MM and a 380 and looking for more. I have the precursor to the G3 in a PT111 G2. Not a fan of striker fired but it works well. I do not care for Taurus trigger feel on their striker fired pistols but I don't like striker fired in general. Unlike others, I've had very good results with Taurus. My recommendation would be GX4 unless you need the higher capacity. The ones I've picked up have had a better trigger than the G2 or G3's I've handled. Also they are slimmer making them easier to conceal and carry.
  7. After this weekend, that may be the plan.
  8. i was in the same boat as you literally last month. took it to a pawn shop in mj and got 650 trade in.
  9. I've seen both ways front or back, It's just a preference. If you run a magnet in the front the belt closure may interfere.
  10. Enjoy your new pistol.
  11. I think they’ll be alright. Ruger isn’t interested in the brand name, but they were interested in the manufacturing capacity. According to what I’ve read, those folks still have jobs.
  12. Price drop, akm for under 600 bucks.
  13. Well, chit! They were a staple for me. I hate it for the folks in Hebron, Kentucky. I'm guessing it was a major employer in that town.
  14. I love my Glock 30 gen3. I agree with @Marine Dad it is the most accurate Glock I have.
  15. I carry one almost daily. May be the most accurate Glock I have ever shot.
  16. Do you have this ? Are you interested in trades?
  17. @FrankD totally agree. Yeah I definitely wouldn’t spend the money to “re-do” what I already have. I just meant shifting to multicam as I acquire new things like a chest rig/plate carrier, etc. That’s a great point though. If you’re gonna run around with all the things, you’ll have that look regardless. thanks!
  18. Agree..........
  19. If you've got a belt setup already I wouldn't spend the money to change it. The belt is probably the least visible piece of nylon you're going to have. I went RG for my plate carriers/chest rigs as they seemed less militaristic. If I had to go back and do it again I would do the same. You can always use your top/pants to break up your silhouette effectively. If you don't want to look military don't plan on carrying a rifle with additional mags/armor/med etc. all over you and for sure don't plan on wearing a helmet with your NV/Thermal setup on it. At some point with all the pieces of kit your going to look military regardless of what pattern or color you've got. I would spend the money on what you like and use it.
