In February of this year I bought one of the 3.6" S&W CSX E-Series pistols. Since late 2015 I have been availing myself of the advantages of Trijicon RMRs. Since Trijicon doesn't make anything with a footprint compatible with the CSX my choice of Red Dots was narrowed down. I'm a "made in the USA" guy and the SIG Romeo-X is as close as I could get. I prefer the 6 MOA for defensive pistols, though I do have a Trijicon 3.25 MOA on one of my S&W M&P9 PC Ported pistols. The Sig Romeo has a built in rear sight which is a nice feature as the rear sight must be removed on the CSX to install a Red Dot. As a matter of practice I polish the feed ramp on all of my new (or new to me) pistols. Ten yards sighting in the RMR with 124 FMJ PPU. Flyer my bad. Out to 12 yards with my preferred carry ammo. I haven't found a holster I really like yet but this 1791 for a SIG 365XL works for now. So far I've put about 500 rounds through it an everything ran flawlessly, including cast bullet reloads, FMJ, and of course Federal HST. After all that shooting the little CSX needed a good cleaning and as a long time RMR user I practice safe cleaning. I'm very satisfied with the CSX and the SIG Romeo-X Cheers James

The Kenwood TH-D75A is a great radio, covers three bands, and it’s waterproof. It’s been my go to radio for the past 6 months or so. The receiver is excellent. Also have a Yaesu FT-5DR, as our local repeater has Yaesu Fusion. Not much DSTAR locally, so the Kenwood just gets used on analog FM, I’ve never used it on DSTAR.

wanted Wanted - Savage 110 Bolt Action Rifle West TN
Snaxwell901 posted a topic in Firearms Classifieds
I am looking for an older Savage 110 model(10/110, 11/111, 12/112) bolt action rifle as the base for a custom rifle build. Caliber does not matter and condition of the bore or stock does not matter. I would prefer a long action, but if you have a short action you are willing to part with, please let me know. The max I am looking to spend is $400. I am in Memphis, and willing to drive a couple of hours for the right deal. I am new to the forum. I'd like to say thanks to the founders and moderators for providing a place gun people in the state can converse and trade. Thanks, Matt - Today

With a snake it does not matter, the weight is not forced into the bore, and there is nothing that could bang into the crown.

That is way way nicer than my first AR. I had to buy mine in pieces here/there to save money and build it myself. LOL That is a really sweet setup, kudos. As far a bore snakes go, I have a few long guns that take quite a bit of heft to pull them through. In fact, I was certain I was gonna tear string and weight off the snake first time or two. Man, they are tough as nails, but aside from a dish tub and some Dawn I ain't found an easy way to clean them yet.

I have a S&W Bodyguard 2.0 for pocket carry and so far it is very good with no issues. I'm hoping to try out a Walther PD380 for IWB carry next week. I have high hopes for its performance from all that I have read. It is my first choice to try out after looking at and reading much about several others. I took a close look at the Beretta 80X and it appears to be a good pistol, but a bit fat in the grip for my hands.
