Funny thing. I found out earlier this week that the brand new tag I picked up on Feb 11 was marked as expiring Jan 31. You know. 11 days before I got it. The county clerks office is supposed to be sending me a new registration card and sticker but the 5-0 didnt stop me for it. The guard didnt want to let me on base though.

This is the best thing I have seen all week.

So I was leaving Big Bend NP Friday night. Late. On the long highway headed towards the interstate I passed multiple LEOs. State Trooper, County Sheriffs, and what I assume were city police. They would just park facing my direction of travel on the opposite side and twice I had them pull out and follow me for ten miles or so. The speed limit was like 75 and I was going 70 with cruise control on so no reason to follow me. After a while they would just slowly drop back and then pull over again. Now, is BBNP on the border? Yes. Were they checking my tags for warrants? possibly but no reason to do so. I figured they were just hoping I'd swerve or do something so they could pull me over.

I suggest going to the Nashville subreddit if you use Reddit. This is a markedly conservative older group here on TGO so their take will slant a certain way. I wouldn't want to live in Antioch personally but I know several people over at r/nashville seem to have no problems. If you can avoid a commute that uses I-24 I would try and do so but that will be hard with work in Antioch. Old Hickory BLVD is screwy around there too.

Yes ignoring the problem instead of confronting it is the solution.

That is the thing. We are about 98% white if not more here. We all know other white people who say racist #### without dropping a beat. At best some of them might look left or right before they say it which means they at least know it's wrong or are worried who will hear them. This irritates me more because I dont want to get pulled into their racism.

I dont see it as revenge. It's simply using the tools that have now been opened. If one side is able to use a rule and set precedent they have to be prepared for that precedent to be used. I'd rather not have either law. Hopefully the texas law loses so the other will too.
