I guess maybe they are the same size, but the 1911 is a WHOLE lot nicer to look at. If you are wanting a C&R handgun look at the P64 or CZ82.

Get an M39 Mosin. Should be able to find a nice for under 300.00. These are heads and tails above a 91/30 in quality and fantastic shooters. Will also appreciate in value as time goes on more than a 91/30. Also look at the Swedish M96 Mauser in 6.5x55 or any of the Swiss rifles. The quality, fit and finish as well as the accuracy of their rifles are far and above any of the other more common mil-surps.

My understanding is you only need to log in guns that you have ACQUIRED or DISPOSED of while you have the C&R. So no, you would not have log in the guns you already own, unless, you dispose of them. That being said I believe you are better off erring on the side of too much information, I went ahead and logged mine in but made notation that these were owned prior to C&R acquisition . I have sold a few of the guns I owned prior to having the license, and at that point I went ahead and logged them out. BTW, aquired does just not mean purchased. It pertains to any C&R eligible firearm acquired in any fashion, bought, given, lent to, or found on the side of the road. Same goes for the the word disposed.

Heres what happens when the bug bites really hard.

Mcminn county sheriffs gun auction April 7 10am
pcrc11 replied to z90HD's topic in Events and Gatherings
Most will probably end up the next gun show at even higher prices. -
Mine is not a fancy one. I just bought a spiral notebook and use that.
-
Not so sure I would use the attitude "it's just a C&R license". They may not throw you in jail but I for one am not going to do anything that is going to give an ATF agent a reason to question anything or look a little deeper than he ordinarily might.

Ive got almost 5 gallons of bullets that I have picked out of berms so far. Am going to start casting as soon as I gather the materials.

Want to try trap/skeet shooting.
pcrc11 replied to Rhodewarrior's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Your shoulder will probaly take a pretty good beating. It is one thing to fire you coach gun once or twice and then take a break. In trap you will will be shooting 25 targets in less than ten minutes with a decent squad and could be 25 straight if you happen to go to line by yourself. Your 870 wont treat you a whole better either. Would not even bother trying to shoot a round of skeet without at least a modified choke and improved cylinder or skeet choke would be the optimum -
Well I went over there after work today to look at the rifle. I already have one but it is non-matching and would like to replace it with a matching numbered one. They had already sold it or it was on layaway. Counter guy was not sure which but it was definately gone. Did someone here get it?
-
Good price if it is all matching numbered. Polish M44 are considered top of the line and usually command a little more money than the rest.

Should be some on Gunbroker.

Have a friend that has over 100 Garands and he says using commercial ammo is not an issue. I wont shoot it mine though. I got 192 rds of military on enbloc clips last year from CMP for 96.00. I think they may be out of it now, but they should have something available in that price range.
-
I will second DS comment. Anything that makes guns more mainstream is good for all of us. But I still want to know where I can buy a Red Jacket hat and t-shirt so I can be "The coolest guy at the range".

Sarco always has a bunch for sale in Shotgun News

That is on my list of must do's in the future.

Seems to burn clean. Have not noticed any more cleaning needing to be done with that gun than any other when I get back from shooting. According to load info it is 1134 with 5.2 and 1235 with 5.8

I have a Lee Turret press that I am having small issue with. The shaft that auto indexes for the 4 die setup rides in a plastic piece that attaches to the main shaft. This is different than the three die setup which uses a metal piece. Plastic being plastic it has a ton of slop and will not tighten wthout stripping the threads. I also think the little piece that the shaft rides on is also worn. Do they make this piece in metal for the 4 gang or anybody else have this problem and a fix for it. The amount of play keeps the auto index from indexing to the next station by about 1/4".

I am loading mine with 5.4 grains Universal Clays and 124 gr Berrys plated flat nose. You cant use the round nose bulets because they will fall into the case due to the taper starting so far down the bullet. The narrow neck on the Sig case mandates that the bullet must not taper too far down. I am shooting out of Glock 33 which is the subcompact and recoil is very managable. First shooting I did was with the Speer Lawman 124gr flat nose, and it was no fun at all. With the load I am using now I enjoy shooting it as much if not more than my Glock 22 in competition style shooting.

You need to see what the real liberals out there think before you make this statement. I watch Real Time with Bill Maher pretty regularly. Dont agree with him on many issues but I do find him entertaining. His show is magnet and a forum for liberals to speak out and most if not all of the hard core liberals on his show consider Obama to not be a liberal at all. Most think of him as a centerist who wont stand up to the Republicans and push through enough of the liberal agenda.

Well I guess I will just have to send more to the NRA so that does not happen. What most fanatics on both side of the issue dont realize is that neither side wants to win this battle, they just want to keep it going. If one side wins either way the money flow will stop. There is no money to be made by winning the war, only fighting it. Should the NRA obtain total victory and create a law that would forever take away the threat that we could lose our firearms do you realize how many people that work for the NRA would be out of a job. Same goes for the anti gun lobby. Trust me both sides will play this game long after you and I are both dead and gone. There will be small victories on both sides to keep the masses sending money to fight on, but if one side obtains total victory they both lose in the long run and they know it. The gun rights issue is not about principals or peoples rights any more it is just another way the American are being duped by a bunch of lawyers and lobbyists.
-
How much you wanna bet. Guns have become way to mainstream, TV shows, Wal-mart selling assault rifles, every other person in the US seems to have a HCP permit. A female US Congresswoman attempted assassination and murder of young girl in the process does not even hardly raise an anti gun news story. He will be re-elected, nothing will happen to our gun rights and we will have pay a premium and endure shortages until the fearmongering subsides.

"The sky is falling, The sky is falling"!! Quick, everybody everybody run out and buy all you can. We are our own worst enemies and dont even realize it.
-
What EXACTLY has Obama done or said to scare anyone. The only people we have to thank for the high prices and shortages are our old friends at the NRA for making everyone think Obama is coming for our guns in an attempt to get you to send them more money.
