Here is a picture of one I picked up last year. I would never sporterize an original one but there is something to be said for a one that was well done by a real gunsmith back in the day, which this one was. These are great shooters and yes the action is the best of any rifle I own. Be glad you are a reloader as production runs of ammo are seasonal and can be hard to come by when it is gone for the year.

DishTV dropped AMC so I am missing this season. Was my absolute favorite show. This however is the catalyst for me to drop dish and cable forever. Netflix and outside antenae now only cost me $8 a month. I can wait a year for it to come out on netflix and now get an extra $100 a month to put into my gun hobby.

Cant buy them by the case any more for $60 apiece and even if you could by your admission they will be worth $150. Now how can you go on to say they wont go up in value. That is 150% return. I'd take that any day of the week even if it is over a period of ten years. Will they ever be worth what a Garand or K98 is, most likely never, but they will go up in value, just make sure you buy the right ones to maximize your investment.

I disagree. Its not that they aren't collectable. They just wont ever be highly collectible. There will always be a market for them and they will go up in value, but just not enough to ever retire on. With that in mind I try to find the most desirable ones I can get and stay away from the more common ones. Try to find one with a nice bore, maybe a stock that has nice figuring in the grain and yes a hex reciever, especially earlier ones from the early 1930's or 1920's and made in Tula. I also only buy stamped matching numbers and not counterbored. Try to do everything you can to buy the most unique specimens you can. IMO down the road when you decide to sell and want to get some kind of return on your money, no matter how small, uniqueness will give you a big advantage.

More than likely they were looking for candy or soda.

I've got to the point I wont show a gun to a dealer at a gunshow anymore when they ask to see it. They will ask "hey what you got there", most of the time I just say "nothing for you" and keep walking. In a strange way it gives me a lot of satisfaction.

About $7.50 a box straight from my Lee Loader. Gotta love reloading especially for oddball calibers! -

A physical conservative? Does that mean he is in good shape? Sure you didn't mean fiscal? -
Palmetto State Armory has quite a good selection. Have never bought from them although I plan on it. I have noticed sometimes they even offer free shipping.

The day my kid needs to have cell phone on him in school because of the possibiltiy of a school shooting is the day I will agree there are to many guns in this society. Besides what is he or she susposed to do with the cell phone in the event of a school shooting, throw it at the shooter?

From what I have read the high tech manufacturing jobs cant find enought people to fill them. If you are qualified there is good money to be made. Manufacturing jobs that are basic assembly line work requiring little skill for the most part have left this country and more than likely wont be coming back, why would they when you can get the work done for 1/4 of the price. Nobody complains when they go to Wal-mart and you can buy just about everything cheaper today than you could 20 years ago without even adjusting for inflation. This country will need to educate and train our children to a much higher standard especially in math, science and tech to fill the jobs that are out there. I have a boy going into the 11th grade this year and am pushing him hard to get all the tech training and hi tech skills he can. You wont be able to barely make it through high school anymore or even drop out and go find a decent factory job, making socks, pencils, flower pots, dishes or any of the basic items found on a store shelf, that can support a family like you could 50 years ago.

I graduated high school in 1985. No cell phones back then. I am just wondering what we did when we had an emergency. I guess there were no emergencies before cell phones were invented. I also think they should not be allowed at work unless you are using for work related calls. Nothing that I have seen in the last 25 years has led to more unproductivity and lack of respect for the workplace than cell phone usage and texting.

Quick lets get everybody fired up. I can see the ammo sellers wringing their hands in aticipation for the next gun show.

Judge allows paralyzed dad to sue Glock

I am sure they look at it as just the cost of doing business. -
Just think they could have warded off another mass shooting by showing up with their guns exposed. I have read many postings on different forums that had the movie goers been allowed to carry that the shooter in Aurora would have thought twice about doing what he did. Who knows maybe there was another wacko waiting outside this theatre who had second thoughts when he saw them with their guns on their hips.

I wrap the stocks in paper towels, then wrap tightly in a black plastic garbage bag and put on the dashboard of my truck for a day in so in the sun. Then wipe down with mineral spirits. Seems to get most of out of the stock although I dont think you can ever get it all out. Heat gun and mineral spirits for the metal parts. -
9mm and 357 SIG bullets cheap. Group order?
pcrc11 replied to Clod Stomper's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
1000 bullets for $80.00? Thats funny back in the late winter you told me buy what you had on the table, at a signficantly higher price than that, because there was huge price increases coming for bullets. I said bullets seemed to be coming down in price and you told me "no way, prices were going up 30% and gas would be $6.00 a gallon by July just mark my words" was a direct quote. Sure am glad I listened to my gut instinct and waited. -
Gun control is not about controlling guns anymore, it is about pumping your benefactors for as much money as you can, and that goes for both sides. Neither side would want to completely win the war because that would stop the flow of money. You will see small gains in each direction only to be turned around and retook by the other side. You may more than likely see a ban on certain hi-cap magazines and assault weapons but not without a long drawn out fight where many lobbyists and lawyers can make huge amounts of money fighting for their constituents only to be refought down the road so they can then again make more money overturning it. There is no money to be made winning a war only fighting it.

How is this any different than any of the other 100 shows they are doing now just like it. American Choppers, American Pickers, Hoarders, Pawn Stars, Swamp People, Storage Wars, Ice Road truckers, Gold Rush, Auction Kings, Barter Kings, etc etc etc. There is a reality for just about anything and everything. Throw enough sh*t at the wall and hopefully some will stick.

Where are you seeing a data cap on new users. I just signed up this week and from everything I have read on the site it says unlimited.

Think about all the media coverage you have ever seen of actual combat. Those guys are usually wearing some kind of body armor have at least a semi auto firearm and are highly trained, Most of the time they are crouching and hiding behind some kind of cover and they are expecting to be shot at. They usually dont charge head on into the line of fire. My guess is by the time most of the people processed what was going on in that theatre it was most likely already over.

I just got netflix and love it. I am using the Roku streaming player and am going to get 2 more for the other tvs, then I am going back to an outside antenae for the local channels. Then I am canceling dishtv and am going to spend $8.00 a month instead of $100.00. May also add Hulu for anther $8.00. May not get 100% of what I am getting now but with the $80-90 a month I am saving I think I can live with that.
