    Gas

Pleeeaaassse, Don't hold back. I'm all for making a profit. But gas is like electricity, we all HAVE to buy it. There has to be regulations (and they need to be enforced) on how much profit a gas station owner can make on it.

    Gas

Yes, but if you want to store it for a while you can buy stabilizer to put in it.
  3. +1 Exactly!
  4. I was in Newport yesterday evening and as I drove around the prices ranged from a low of 3.96 at Walmart to 4.49 at Valero. I started filling up at Citgo for 3.99 and after 1 gallon the pump shut off, so I put my card back in and tried pumping again and they had raised the price to 4.19! I went to Walmart and was in there for an hour or so and when I got out, Walmart was still at 3.96 and there was a line all the way out to the main road. Then as I drove back through town, the prices at the other stations were 4.49 all the way to 4.99!!! I haven't been out today and I don't plan to as I stocked up on everything I needed yesterday. I found this website you guys might want to check out before going to get gas: http://www.tennesseegasprices.com/
  5. Good advice. I hadn't thought about having to hold my gun on the BG if he was still alive.....and since this is a public forum, I won't say why
  6. Could you give me your reasoning on this? I'm not disagreeing, I'm just curious as to why you would hold onto your weapon until the police came. I've personally seen some nervous/scared trigger happy cops and I'd hate for one to walk into a shooting scene with me standing there holding a gun........ Btw, I would never lay my weapon down until I was positive that the threat was stopped.
  7. From what I've seen that's a pretty good price, especially since it's never been fired. If you're looking for a good self defense shotty, I'd jump on that one.
  8. The way I see it, no one is saying "Do not OC, period." However, if you do choose to OC, do it responsibly and be smart. Going into any establishment while OC'ing and getting into an argument and cursing the employees is NOT smart, and it certainly shouldn't take a brain surgeon to figure that one out. Marswolf is right on the money with this one.
  9. ROFLMAO That's the best laugh I've had in a long time, ty Neero
  10. No problem, Dwcz. Welcome to the board and congrats on getting your HCP
  11. Well, when you decide to draw and fire your weapon to protect yourself/other's lives you need to be aware of everything that could happen. If you're not prepared to take the heat, then don't draw your weapon and run like he**.....and just hope you or your family doesn't get shot in the process......and then live with knowing that you might have been able to save live(s) Personally, if I were in a situation where I had to draw/fire my weapon in a crowd of people, as soon as the threat was stopped, I would lay my weapon down, step back, and put my hands where the police or other armed citizens could see them. If I was able (after hopefully taking the BG by surprise) I would verbally try to let people know that I had a HCP and that I was not the BG.
  12. It's the only one I will....well, besides an occasional beer I'll have to try those Krystal Freeze's now! Thanks Strick Which flavor did you try?
  13. Wow, I'm going to have to agree with Mars again. I must have a fever!
  14. I've also been shooting Glocks for 20 years. I wouldn't mess with anything if I were you. Just shoot the heck out of it. You'll get used to the feel of the Glock trigger after a little bit.....then all the other triggers will feel weird
  15. I'm quite positive that sermon8r and mousegunner can give you a better answer as they are much more educated when it comes to the bible than I........but IMHO God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit do protect you along with giving you the ability/means to protect yourself. I'll have to look up her exact words....but I read that the lady security officer at that church shooting in Colorado said that right before she fired her gun she prayed and asked God to help her and guide her bullet.....and in all that chaos her bullet managed to find it's mark.
  16. Good Strick, you got it. Good.
  17. How I wish America's leaders had the backbone stand up and say that!!! Can anyone say Sarah Palin?
  18. +1. I agree that's a pretty safe bet.

    XD40sc vs. XD9sc

I agree on sticking with a couple weapons of the same caliber for ammo stockpiling reasons. If the SHTF and one of the guns in a certain caliber that you own malfunctions, then you've got another with plenty ammo to go with it. I also agree that the .40 has better stopping power than the 9mm. That being said, I'd go with the .40 myself.
  20. Welcome to the Glock side my friend Now you need a 26 to go along with it!
  21. It is! The marshmallows generally split in two and fly up in the air before they come back down again......then if the water you're shooting into has bluegills......well, lets just say they like the marshmallows....thus giving you another "target" to shoot at Please, anyone that tries this keep in mind that bullets will ricochet off water.....so it's best to shoot from a higher position than the water and know where you're bullets could go if they do ricochet......have fun but most importantly, be safe!
  22. good one!
  23. Amen Mousegunner!! Go SP!! One Nation, Under God .......so many people want to change that it just makes me sick. This country desperately needs people like Sarah Palin to lead us!
  24. If you carry concealed, only you and God will know http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10810
  25. You guys know I'm just kidding around, right? I personally like the Glocks better for several reasons.....they really just suit my needs better than anything else. If I were a good sized man and wore a belt all the time I'd probably have a nice 1911 in my collection too! I will admit, they are pretty Back on topic.....I think a G26 or 27 with a single stack mag would definitely be AWESOME! Come on Gaston, give us a slimline 27!
