  1. Been to it twice and hated myself each time for making the drive afterwards.
  2. Oh so this is the same rifle in the other post in the long guns forum.  Glad you got in touch with WW - they are good people!

    AK 74 Issue

Yep, WW is usually good to go but in the cases something has been wrong I've never known them to NOT fix a problem on one of their rifles.  Definitely check other mags though.
  4. So its not turning the bolt at all on rearward travel?
  5. What does the M/E - T/E measure on it?

    TV Woes

Home owner's insurance will usually cover a lightning strike in my experience.  Just depends on how bad your deductible is and the overall cost of a replacement unit.
  8. Nice, is there a form 1 inbound?
  9. Thought you sold that one?  Haven't seen a bump on it recently I don't guess.
  10. Depends if you want to go 47 or 74?  Pretty good deal on '74s here http://www.classicfirearms.com/package-deals/ak74riflewusparts
  11. This x1000.  Was not impressed.  Afterwards I found out that the guys running this came over from the Franklin Gun Shop which explains some of their pricing strategies as well.

  13. Very nice!  Want to take the wife there some day.  I went there once in my youth with my boy scout troop and we hiked nearly every trail they had.  Still remember what an awesome experience that was.
  14. I agree on the AK platform.  7.62x39 isn't really that much more expensive that the 5.45 and is generally non-corrosive as well in its surplus form these days.  The AK has become very modular in recent times and there are several good models to start out with.
  15. I got a polytech M14S,  Does that count?
  16. Love the remmy 870 BUT you can get a mossy 500 or even a maverick 88 for cheaper.  I think I read that the IAC hawk is supposed to be a copy of the 870?  I wonder if the aftermarket 870 goodies would fit it?
  17. Agreed lack of parts kits is a major factor.  Also overall importation of assembled rifles has all but stopped.  First the arsenals and Saigas dried up.  Then the veprs.  The wasr's started to decline and they couldn't keep up with demand so distributors started bringing in the Yugo's.  But now Zastava is in the same boat as Romarm.  Who knows how much stuff is currently in transit or sitting in customs somewhere as we speak.  I do know that a lot of times the ditributors over here order stuff and have little to no idea if or when it will be fullfilled from overseas.
  18. Will be going on a Vepr 54r..
  19. I find myself in need of a bipod, the type that mounts to a swivel.  I was wondering what the difference is between the $130+ Harris models and the $15/20 overseas knock off's.  I've read that several people just go with the cheap ones and that they work great.  So I'm curious what the collective opinion is around here.
  20. LOVE the vids they have of the axe and chisel being made but my fave is the knife.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3nojb-gFH4   Their axes and knives on their site are quite stunning.   http://www.neemantools.com/en/products/kitchen-knives
  21. I just don't get how most vendors at shows like to pretend that the internet doesn't exist and that consumer's aren't capable of informing themselves of current pricing and availability on things. especially surplus ammo and firearms.
  22. I had the similar experience to most here.  Overpriced ammo and guns.  Not a lot in the way of variety.  No crates of mosins or anything remotely interesting in the C&R department.  LOTS of optics and knives it seemed along with other nick nacks.   Walked out with two bags of beef jerky  :yum:
