  1. Probably so - made a bee line for their table as soon as I got in the door.
  2. Been looking for over a year for a 9mm replacement of my .40 Xd and narrowed my selection down to a CZ 75 compact model pretty quickly. But I could not find one in stock for the life of me. After searching high and low and being screwed over by a couple of online vendors who claimed to have one I finally ran into my unicorn this past weekend at the Murfreesboro show. A big thanks to the guys at the Nashville Gun Shop who had great prices and a huge selection of CZ pistols. Even in its stock config this is the softest shooting 9mm I have fired thus far. Can't wait to see how it performs after some custom work..
  3. My wife just bought her 938 this weekend.  She is stepping up from the 238 and loved shooting it this weekend.
  4. Will be there on Sat as well - on the hunt for a few things.
  5. As stated above - Lawrenceburg/Pulaski, TN.  The walmart there even has tie up posts in the parking lot for the horses there are so many of them.

  7. Rainbow seemingly ending at a truck full of Guiness. A pot of gold indeed!
  8. If you are looking for an AR I'd hit up classic firearms quickly for one of their $550 AR's before the price goes up.  It would be more of an M4gery than an A4 but you could always rebarrel and re-accessorize later on after you got into the platform.     http://www.classicfirearms.com/ar15bearcreekarsenalm4a3carryhandlew-magandcase
  9. Agreed, definitely a 100-series AK due to being russian, having a '74 style break, having the 100-series folding stock, and the newer 90 degree gas block.  While I am sure they still have plenty of 7.62 flavor rifles floating around I don't think these guys, being active military forces, would deploy with anything other than 5.45 rifles as that is the cartridge the Russian military has decided a long time ago to continue on with.
  10. Here's another good one to try.  A friend and former co-worker of mine decided to start up his own business that makes and sells beard products.   http://www.beardition.com/   You can order online or buy locally in Nashville at Uncle Barber Shops.  I've used the beard oil and its really great stuff.
  11. Well, you can also backup your stuff and reinstall windows as well.  Probably what I would do before shelling out more money on hardware.
  12.   Like any other ISP doesn't already do that?  Might as well get some smokin' fast bandwidth for it at reasonable rates.
  13. 1. RPK 47 w PKA red dot for faster ones and small herds.  Also not all enemies in the apocalypse are undead.  Heavy I know but still easily carried/moved from place to place. 2. AR-15 pistol in .223 with .22 conversion kit and suppressor.  Easy to tote on a single point w/ hi capacity mags and silence can be very useful. 3. Medieval War Hammer - never has to be sharpened and can consistently cause the most head trauma the easiest.  Most have a spike on the rear or top or bottom as well for those times when you need something pointy.
  14. Yeah, I wanted to like Oxford because it was so convenient to work but my first time there was bad enough that I didn't give them another shot.   ETA - each Uncle location has at least one senior barber as well but they charge a small upcharge for booking an appointment with them over the others.  I've had cuts by both before they did the upcharge thing and those guys/gals are definitely aces but Uncle seems to be fairly picky when hiring barbers to begin with and I've never had one of the non-senior barbers do me wrong on a hair cut.
  15. Depends on how much you are willing to pay for a haircut.  I've been to Oxford as I work right across the street from it and I hated the way they cut my hair.  They were pretty reasonable on price though.  My favorite is Uncle though.  They are more expensive but they give the best hair cut(s), shaves, etc on a reliable basis that I've found outside of my old neighborhood barber who passed on many many years ago.  I've seen the Governor getting his hair cut at Uncle a few times while I was there at the Bell Meade location.   http://uncleclassicbarbershop.com/
  16. Wow, me likey!  So based on the page you could step into an Aimpoint quality level red dot w/ 6x flip to side magnification w/ kill flash for $348.  I have several of the PA micro dots but this has me thinking about upgrading.
  17. Don't know if the site is going offline every so often or something but tried again just now in Chrome, Safari, and IE 11 and each one cannot open the page.
  18. I'm signed up just about everywhere including Cabela's, Midway, Aimsurplus, Luckygunner, Wideners, SgAmmo, USACsales and a few others too.  By signed up I mean mailing lists, facebook pages, twitter, you name it.  I have several alerts set up for email on slickguns that spam me everytime a deal is posted where a certain caliber is below a certain cents per round.  Steelcased .223 can be found in a lot of places for .28/.29 a round.  I walked into a Murfreesboro show a few months ago and picked up a case from an ammo seller there of .223 tulammo 55gr for .29/round out the door.  I'll concede that .22lr is still hard to come by currently but just about everything else has been in stock around the net a ton of times and with free shipping in some cases.  I also watch the forums here as well as ar15.com, akfiles.net, and theakforum.net for people selling ammo.  Back in the summer I picked up two cases of 5.45 from a lady in Brentwood who was advertising on akfiles; she was getting rid of her 5.45 ar upper and was offloading all of her 5.45 for super cheap.  Also, the CMP is still great for .30-06 as well.     Actually as I write this lanbo's armory has steel cased .223 by the case for .24 per round.  Better move fast though - you're welcome.. http://lanbosarmory.com/index.php?referrer=cnwr_4191340829622&main_page=product_info&products_id=2207
  19. Don't get me wrong, I think the resellers ought to go stand in a fire somewhere, but why are people still buying ammo/hunting for ammo at walmart?  I haven't bought ammo from a local brick and mortar store in almost two years.  I buy all of mine in bulk usually from a small handful of different vendors online and I still come out way ahead of what wally world charges for it.  That's not to say that the online places don't also run out at times but most places have email/text alerts when things come into stock and its as easy as reaching for my cell phone to buy cases of whatever it is.  Just seems foreign to me in this day and age to go driving store to store locally to look for ammo.  Am I way off base here?
  20. Like the guy and his channel.  His vids can get long winded but those make for great ride-home stuck in mid-tn commute traffic time killers.  I like that his reviews consist of more than just running 50-100 rounds through a particular gun on camera like a lot of the other big you tube channels do.  It appears to me that when he does a review, for better or worse, it is honest and there has been a good deal of time spent on it.
  21. Dry and canned good yes but I was referring to the real stuff like milk, eggs, produce, meat, etc.  And the last time I checked they are only test marketing that in 3 west coast towns.
  22. Well so far it seems like the most favored is the 1903A3.  Hersh - I sent you a PM about your reply.
  23. It has already been touched on but it really depends on what you plan to use it for.  I hate seeing people drop 2k at best buy or apple for a facebook machine.  If my wife's laptop died today I would replace it with chromebook.  Can't speak for Tigerdirect but Newegg is good to go as well as Amazon of course.  Actually, if Amazon sold groceries, prescriptions, and alcohol I'd never shop anywhere else.  Except for guns and ammo of course
