  1. LES, I may get a umarex in the future, but the sig should give me something to play with for now. Shaggy, thanks for the advice on the cans. I still haven't decided on cans, gemtech has a nice one that includes a flash hider. i will check those other ones out too.
  2. the x-five is a 226 9mm with some extra work done (and five inch barrel hence the x-five). I believe they are only made in Germany for a tighter grouping or atleast that's what they were going for when they first came out. the tactical retails for around 1700. The only things I don't like compared to my 220 stainless eite is: no decocker, i don't want a safety, no da, no threaded barrel, and does it include a short reset trigger?
  3. i'll take it! but seriously that is a steal for that gun! I love my sig 220 and if i didn't promise my significant other no more purchases this year (on new guns, I can still upgrade old guns) I personally would jump on that gun and a springfield xds, and a DD V5LW...
  4. wow, its been a while since i seen one with a handguard like that... I think I laughed when I saw that style on a ar-15 assembly dvd. No birdcage please, you need an original looking three prong.
  5. keep us updated on what you end up with! Don't forget to buy an ammo can or two. I would get ammo before the gun!
  6. Academy of Self Protection does classes too. They also have an indoor range to shoot around while you are there. Technically they are 10 miles out of Nashville, but they are close. Joelton, TN http://www.academyofselfprotection.com/services.html
  7. Yeah, if you get caught I would like to see you argue that case with a cop, and then you go to jail for UCDW and then your gun gets confiscated and placed in the court system limbo where you could get it back in 2 years if at all. $120 and a months wait seems cheap if you think about it.
  8. Here is a link for salt in bulk that I found recently and started using for cooking/dinner table. It should be able to last since its already pretty old... I buy it by the 5lb bags. http://www.amazon.co...31275795&sr=8-5
  9. Everyone needs at least one 6920. i still haven't bought mine, yet. They keep their value too, unlike other firearms.
  10. I have the Redfield 3-9x40 on my Remington 700P 308 bolt action and it works great. Only bad part is that it isn't adjustable without taking off the caps. If I use it fine on a 308, then I don't see why an AR should be any different especially when it has less recoil.
  11. Cops Plus are terrible at communication but I got my stuff in a week anyways, just call them for help. I ordered safariland basket weave cuff holders for my duty belt. They had the absolute cheapest prices. I also bought some other weird items that got to me in a week. Botach Tactical is the same way for me, good prices and fast shipping but terrible communication.
  12. they WERE well respected AK builders.... Like I said, Kris doesn't build AK's for now so get them while you can! As for AR's you can put a gun together like they do much cheaper, and without the wait (check the other thread) or you can get assembled AR's with more features for a little more or less depending on the company you go with. I have a BCM, I'm slowly buying a SBR Spikes Tactical in 300BLKOUT, and I want a DD V5 LW. Oh the RJ is a carbine length so a comparable gun would be the Colt LE6920 which is around $1000 which is what I would recommend for a carbine length, and then you can spend money upgrading it to the specs you want (quad rail, ubr stock, battle comp, etc).
  13. Thanks to another TGO'er I got my hands on a Sig 522. I plan on sbr'ing it and putting a suppressor eventually since the 522 is extremely reliable.
  14. for the price and what you get it is not that badly priced, but there is a wait time on them of around 6 months (correct me if i'm wrong). Features wise I would spend a little more and get a Daniel Defense Mid-Length V5LW. DD has better quality control not to mention better support. Plus Red Jacket assembles the firearm, from what I've researched they only make very few parts of the actual rifle (handguard, flash hider, suppressor) and every other part is outsourced.
  15. When i got my first carry gun i got a big freaking double stack Para Ordnance PRX1445 which is a double stack 1911 in .45. I wanted a big gun to make sure I was on target and could easily qualify. Eventually I realized I could have easily qualified with a smaller gun and I would never carry my Para Ordnance in public because it was too dadgum big. My advice is to go to the stores and find a gun you wouldn't mind putting on your hip comfortably. Just imagine them weighing quite a bit more with bullets and when you can hold 15 .40cal bullets it's going to be HEAVY and drag your pants down or your belt will be so tight you won't be able to breath... I would suggest you look at smaller single stack .40s. The glock 27 is a tad heavy since it holds 9 (plus 2 with the pierce grips). If you don't mind .45 the Springfield is releasing the XDS soon, and I would recommend you check it out. http://www.xdspistol.com
  16. spend the extra money and get a micro-t1. I don't hate my PRO, but i do wish I got something smaller so my eyes wouldn't have to work around the big PRO, not to mention pulling it from the bag and not getting caught on things... The good news on the PRO is that battery life is insanely long, and the front cover is clear so I only have to flip the back cover down to see my dot. Not too mention it came with a sweet mount that has perfect co-witness.
  17. i know some shops (ie.KC-Coatings) put a clear cerakote/durakote over the hydrographics to make it last longer. Did the guy in Clarksville do that?
  18. Careful TMF, others may take you up on that offer (myself included)!
  19. The Pro's are fine if you want the longer barrel. Plus they are not much more in price. I recommend you look for holsters first if you go this route.
  20. His posts are edited and if you check his history he likes to blast steam at everyone. If you post a thread stating you got a new gun and I went in your thread calling your gun a pos because x y and z then how would you feel. i am sure in his 18 years of experience he has learned to break into any safe, its just a matter of time. Also in my experience burglars don't drill, they knock them down and try to pry (and I have only seen them successful at cheaper safes doing this such as Walmart specials for $200). I would like to see a burglar try to do that to mine. Do go to his shop and check out his prices/models. Be prepared to spend a lot on a safe in general. I thought they cost around $800 since I had only seen safes at Lowes and Sam's Club. However, most gun safes are in the 2k range or at least that's what I set aside for my budget.
  21. Av88tor, that safe is not even close to the model I purchased. If you want to do a safe sucks segment then post your own thread, don't crap in mine. I posted this thread to show-off my new safe and to take pictures to show people what they get if they want to buy one of these. These safes are awesome and I would have gotten an overpriced 45minute 16 gun safe if I did buy one from you. You're an authorized vender so feel free to do the same as I did and post threads of your safes to show them off, just don't crap in mine with FALSE/fake/lying your safe sucks videos of something that is not even close to what i have in this thread.

    FN 5.7

They do make incendiary rounds for different calibers however they cause a short sparkler effect when they hit hard surfaces. In the video he obviously uses a bunch of explosive powder stacked behind the door. He must be insane to get that close!!!!
  23. there is one in the for sale section... you may want to check there
